now i can type with 70g springs for long hours, without having finger joint pains. this is mainly because of my gradual change of typing habits.
previously, i would feel uncomfortable if i used switches with spring weight of 68g and up, for 1 to 2 hours.
these days, i type lightly, with almost no bottom-out. heavy springs help to push my fingers back to resting position. as long as the starting force is low enough, i can type normally without issues. if i missed the feels of bottoming out, i can always swap to boards with lighter springs.
this typing habit also means i cannot type properly on topre anymore. it's fine for me, because i prefer mx style switches more.

Just to put out some budget new models to consider..
1. Tecware Phantom+ Elite is new sleek looking a 3 mode, hotswap TKL board, almost Drop like for RM300ish
2. GMK67 is a barebones gasket mount 3 mode, 65% board, RM200ish. Apparently Epomaker use this to create another model of their own while charging more.

my next build is with giant v5 from panghu that i forgot to tune and build after break-in.
giant v5 is from tecsee, and has the following specifications: - stem: uhmwpe - switch top: uhmwpe - bottom housing: nylon - spring: 16mm gold-plated 58g spring
previously i thought of making a custom switch with similar specs (invyr's uhmwpe stem + tangerine v2 uhmwpe switch top + cherry mx black hg's nylon bottom) it's covered; cheaper now lol
Trying to hold off on buying any more keycaps. I have enough to cover all my boards 3 times. Lol.
Waiting on 1 more GB to be fulfilled then I'm done.
yes, just get what you want according to your plans. these days i mainly collect keyboard stuff that i want, only if they are readily available.
i'm not sure about you guys, but long-term exposure to hypes has really made me lose interest in, and immuned to ads in general. believe it or not, now i have the tendency to ignore these things automatically. the same happened when i wandered in malls previously. i noticed this when i was asked to wait beside an advertisement. it's obvious, and near to me, but i couldn't locate it, until i really pay attention.
went to MKB store saw jwk black nylon was intrigue ... then saw ktt cabage and white samurai switch in the end didnt buy any
nice
jwick series is affordable and good in general (black, ultimate black, white, red, and yellow; i have tested all of them).

just received my first restock of cx60 pcb and equalz c3 v3 stabilizers in 2023. the pcb color has changed again, from initial blue, white, black, and now back to white.
by the way for those who are interested in tx stabilizers, you can get it from quovadis123.

Not to promo the store but seems the price is affordable.. if u buy online plus the shipping fee well it is a bit cheaper at the store for the switches lah

as long as the price is reasonable, and it's available locally, just get it.
i get stuff from else where mainly because: 1. they are not available locally; 2. local price is not reasonable; and 3. the possibility to consolidate shipping.

in my case, usually no. 1 predominates.
Agree some can't get locally so go to next best thing

First time interested in getting a low profile mech keyboard. Would like to try out custom build if have for low profile type. I've been aiming on redragon k618 horus, keychron k5. Any recommendation for first time users to own a mech keyboard for low profile. I do understand that there are not many low profile keyboards around and also for custom build. Thx all sifus for the help
