Guys thinking to get my first mkb..
I know I need a full size with number pad.
Wireless if possible as I don't like wire..
Do these mkb reliable? My current wireless keyboard used over 10 years still good condition but not mkb..

What price can I expect or brand with below requirement
Option 1
Wireless full size with number pad (brown switch if possible, worry too disturbing to other for the sound )
No RGB (I see like all selling rgb)
Not sure if hot swap price different alot?

Option 2
Same as option one but with RGB. (how long these rgb can turn on before we charge it)

Option 3
Same as option 2 but Wired RGB

I tried to search found a few my liking but don't have number pad.. Susah la I mao kerja excel press numberpad and arrow button... Haha

Here: https://world.taobao.com/dianpu/202287946.h....27aa7661i1UxSV

price range around RM 500-1k depending on model and specs

hmmm let me check and see if i have alternative. I thought i able to get one around price of 1xx - 2xx (depend if i wanted wireless or wired).
I saw some Armageddon cost around 1xx which quite comfort. I don't want buy so expensive one and regret later cause i just want to try and see if i like it or not.
I probably want brown switch as i think blue will have noisy sound biggrin.gif

RK860 is rm217 at Lazada.

Some modding will be required to optimize it. But I think the start up cost is more up your alley.

yes, it's for hygenic purposes. vacuum cleaners are not recommended, because it can create static discharge buildup that harms electronic compnents.

usually i do a full teardown of a board, bring it outside, and brush the dust off. for key caps, i soak and wash them with warm water + dish washing liquid in ultrasonic cleaner. (this is because i have the machine)
you can take a look at keychron's options. there are few with gateron low-profile switch hotswapping support.

you're right, as of now, options that use low-profile switches are limited. the main problem is that, due to the general lack of standardizations, each brand makes low-profile switches according to own specifications, hence they are incompatible to each other. in short, it's a mess, compared to the ecosystem of mx style switches.
*
Mean you dismantle all the key caps and also the switch? How long you did once? My switch location I feel very near to wall, have trouble dismantle it..

my boards are mainly soldered builds, so i just take key caps off with a metal-wire keycap puller. i do cleanups when i think key caps are dirty. (usually it takes months to reach this stage)

also, when i replace key caps, i wash the old ones first, before putting them back into box.

these are just my usual habits. however, this might be the reason why i never experience key switch issues, like key chattering, on my custom builds.
*
Then you might need to lub it again? As the cap lub maybe gone during the washing?

My keyboard normally only got dust.. Cause I don't eat and play with dirty finger.. From time to time I use damp cloth to wipe the surface

After 1 and half year, it seems like 1 of my button rosak... not sure why...
I blow off with blower yesterday, and wipe my button with damp cloth... After that use few hour everything fine...

Today I use, it keep spam 5 "(like you holding 5) . . then i take off both my 5 button..
It seems the number pad area is ok.. i can press and it sense accordingly.

I guess I need to replace the switch.. Rm20 for 35 switch seems good.. Do you guys lube it? What type of lube you guys use? I saw there is gpl with many diff model and permatex..
How many gram will be used if we lube over 100 keys? I think mine is prelube 1 year plus when I bought.. But I need prelube these new switch that I going to replace..
