Today I use, it keep spam 5 "(like you holding 5) . . then i take off both my 5 button..
It seems the number pad area is ok.. i can press and it sense accordingly.

Personally, I would consider replacing all the switches with new budget factory lubed switches. Either get Leobog Graywood V4 locally or MZ Studio Z1 from Taobao.

If you passby Batu Caves area, can grab 90 pcs new Graywood V4 from me for RM30 tongue.gif

Where did you get the crush80?

I tried HMX xinhai, changlan and Hyacinth V2. Really like the Hyacinth V2 feel and sound. The is dense enough and high pitch enough

Taobao as usual, imagine how many people are ready to pull the trigger. 8pm restock and gone within 3 seconds, I made the mistake of checking address. Only can order one unit and they aren't restocking black, so I guess silver is the first pick for most people.

I was tempted to try Canglan V2 and Hibiscus as they have the lowest pitch and quietest among all the HMXs, but then I decided to go low actuation switches instead.

The options were between this, HMX Perky and Geonworks Raptor MX Extreme. I like how it looks, the other two have transparent top shell that turns white light into pink and red. Perky is loud while vintage citrus has the lowest total travel @ 3mm, almost went with raptor as it has the lowest pre-travel among these @ 0.9mm.

Might just buy 10 switches each later on and compare them, this switch feels damn snappy rclxm9.gif

Do you miss your smartphones having physical buttons to type on?

https://www.lowyat.net/2024/325851/clicks-keyboard-iphone/

only for iphone. it's not cheap but if you miss typing on actual buttons, they got you covered xd.

I think this would be the better setup. Dex using say a samsung S24 Ultra. then you can use an actual mechanical keyboard on a big screen.

It's not as mobile on the go as the clicks (in terms of holding the smartphone in your hand as you're typing or something close to pocket size), but it would be more worth it i think. Cause you can make do just using the smartphone touch screen for typing. And when you get that mechanical keyboard urge for typing, you can use the dex setup to connect to a monitor and a mkb devil.gif

Though i think you need a wireless/bluetooth mkb for this to work? but there are a lot of those these days.

zFrontier had a sale on Labour Day so I picked up KAT Cat's Eye Alphas and Coleverak kits at 15% off.

Committed to Colemak DH now on my daily driver at work.

1 week in and I'm still at a pathetic 18wpm.

This site has helped a lot:
https://gnusenpai.net/colemakclub/

Alphas - Cat's Eye dark
Numrow - Arctic
Mods - Atlantis
Spacebars - Lich

So I have dye sub, reverse dye sub, and doubleshot KAT all on one board.

Still sticking with it. Every day I use it I am struck by how little movement is required to type common words.

That still has not translated to speed though. I'm in the high 20s low 30s.

Agreed, I used Colemak-DH alongside with Wide and Symbol mod, it so much comfortable than qwerty.
