Hi bobowyc, yes eventually I solved my problem already.

I asked my installer to reinstall the bracket so that the black rubber wont be seen again by correct it to 64.5cm and reinstall the screw to correct position.

Viola, now the problem is solved and hopefully it last though.

Great! yup, required is 64.5cm. lol. probably installer was in a hurry? sweat.gif It will last because 64.5cm is their recommended length. I've installed a few and no complaints so far. The only complaint I had was motherboard spoil due to lightning strike, after that is okay already. sweat.gif shocking.gif

Thanks bobowyc!

Eventually I paid only RM200 to my neighbour to help me dismantle my old autogate and install this dcmoto. He eventually spend 4-5 hours to do it though.

But the down side is he refused to follow the guideline on the paper and install it by experience. So that's why the measurement is off from recommended and didn't install the screw accordingly.

You're installer as well? Any tips on the maintenance to make sure it last longer?

Yes unfortunately that's the cost that I need to pay sad.gif

Thanks a lot for your advise and help dblcss, it really helps me a lot in troubleshooting and fix the problem.

And now VIOLA everything is settled (fingers crossed) after putting back the right screw and 64.5cm for distance of c bracket.

Anything that I could do for maintenance from time to time to make sure the motor last longer? Hopefully it could last me 5 years at least before needed to swap with new one again
*
Well as long install properly it shld last u sometime and no maintenance require until some part break down. Once break down just replace the problem part. Mine DC Moto the motor last me very long time already about 11 years ++ even after upgrade from normal metal gate to trackless kit on metal gate which didn't last due to heavy weight cause gate to drop and now already 2 years on Fagolli full aluminium trackless gate system. Even convert to solar but battery change a few time dun really last. We enjoy trying out new things so can recommend our customer what is suitable for the gate they are using. The white pc of paper is just a guide line for std installation use and some gate need modification for the system to work.

Chk out this challenge we hv to install Dnor Turbo 880 copy cat of DC Moto 925W on rusted gate with the hinge located out side pillar wall.

Look at the long C channel on the gate. Measurement 64.5cm won't do.

Oh. 4-5hrs is quite okay. Usually takes around half day. haha.

Lol. Better follow guidelines lo.. If no follow then get problem like this. Susah part is go back 2nd round for issues. that one super headache one.

Yes I am, but not so experienced la. lol still learning. haha. got do other things also. My house also using DC Moto. I think also got around 10 years. No issues so far. Only battery KO. But recently the Buzzer KO also lol and the photosensor for our column light. Maintenance wise I think not much, DC Moto quite maintenance friendly haha. So far experienced no issues with it except what I mentioned, but that could be wear and tear issue. We always use the gate to open one side. Everyday at least 6-8 times open and close one side. Open 2 sides also quite often, morning, afternoon and evening. No complaints so far. Now testing 3rd party wifi compatible with DC Moto. haha. Just ordered. Havent arrive yet. sweat.gif

Hi any way to increase the signal distance of the dnor turbo 880 remote? Like make the board antenna longer? Any guide or the wire sell online? Any specific wire?

Find my remote control difficult to control, I'm like 3m away inside my car but I sometimes need press 2 or 3 times only the gate opens, press and hold awhile, not just press and release.

The indoor unit works flawlessly and that is 5m away from the box. Press one time and sure open. Does the tint also affect? Car tint is uv but remote is using rf right

It could be the remote control. Try a new battery. If problem persist then get a new remote control, not very expensive.

Hi sifu, I would like to change my gate (subsale house that already got autogate motor). Is it possible to just change the gate and keep the motor?

My question is, how do I know whether the current autogate motor is still good? Or is it strong enough to support new door that might be heavier than old door?

*two side swing open close gate by the way. Plan to get new stainless steel gate due to budget constraints cannot get aluminium.

mine also like that, but D'Nor arm model.
i think the remote normal behave like that, its rolling code type if not mistaken, need to press and hold abit for receiver to detect the keypress.
indoor switch is directly connect to main board sure instant control.

what is normally the dimension needed for a trackless gate system, let's say BG, for a intermediate 2 storey terrace house, 22 x 75? What would be the rough price for it?

The width really depend on the house design itself (some have wide letterbox, garbage box, incoming TNB supply). 16 feet generally allows you to open 1 side and 1 car can go in without opening both. Height usually they come in a choice of 5, 5.5 and 6 feet mostly. Of course you can custom them to any size you want. Price varies depending sizes, design, and vendor. But expect to pay anything around 9-10K for non Delux gates for the 14-16 feet wide. Delux and BG generally are much more than that.

Normally would be going for 18ft and price range will be about RM10-12K depend on design simple or with decoration.

Autogate junction box put under the roof will be better to prevent the pvc box become hard and crack that water can sip in. For the board itself shldn't be any problem since it's kept inside the weather proof pvc box.

Yeah, I had the same problem. I changed battery on the remote control, problem still persist or problem solved for a while then it came back.

In the end, I just changed to new remote control, works like a charm, even when I'm few houses away from the gate.
