QUOTE(dblcss @ Aug 6 2025, 11:42 PM) If you want something simple and look simple OAE 333-A would be good enough to last few years. If you want something simple with key release can consider Dnor 212K with big motor. If you want provern long lasting system with key release and more feature rotate system can consider DCMoto 925W already in the market for more then 15 years and latest model model 975W with built in board in motor part for easy add on device infrared without extra wire to junction box. QUOTE(ykh @ Aug 24 2025, 11:05 AM) Hi anyone can advise if DC 975 will be suitable for a 24.5ft x 6 ft fully aluminium trackless gate? No issue with it. GFM975 basically built upon GFM925W with new controller board with far better speed controller. But of course the newer GFM975 has around 1-2 second slower operation than GFM925W but better speed cushioning.

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Aug 5 2025, 09:02 AM) AFAIK DCMoto seems to no longer produce sliding gate motor. They only focus on swing / swing fold / trackless fold operated motor. Sliding gate you can consider DC brushed motor local or Italy and DC Brushless motor from Italy that comes in 24V and 36V.

Hi sifus, This is my first time buying and installing a front gate for my new house. Specifications: Stainless steel frame Aluminium panels Size approximately 14 feet x 5.5 feet Swing gate Comes with an inner door Dnor auto gate supplied separately; installation cost paid I have a few questions: 1. For the part highlighted in red in the photo — is that cover piece normally included, or does it require a top-up? I thought it was included based on the design I selected, but when installation day came, the seller said I had to top up RM300 (we negotiated down to RM250). Is this a common practice or not? The second photo shows my current gate waiting for that cover piece. 2. What worries me more is that after three days, the wall near the gate looks like it’s starting to crack. I noticed some other sellers recommend using three hinges instead of two. Should I ask my gate supplier to add one more hinge to each gate leaf? Please refer to the last four photos. I would really appreciate any advice.

Normally for full aluminium frame type will be included to cover the gap. Wall hinge area crack is due to the weak pillar plaster. When there's movement on the gate open close by autogate sometime will hv a bit of pressure that put force on the hinge area which cause the plaster to crack. Hopefully the inner wall is solid not those weak type then shld be ok. If inner pillar wall is weak then will hv problem in long term. Putting more hinge won't help if it's the inner wall problem.

trackless gate seller will never tell you most dev original pillar cannot actually install them unless it is proved construct with rebar. The worse type entirely made out of sand bricks.
3 hinge 2 hinge has no difference if the underlaying structure is weak. And plaster crack means the structure has deformed locally.

Hmmm how old is ur system??? If more then 2-3 years, hv u ever change the backup battery b4? If more then 2-3 years and nvr change backup battery b4. Try take out the old battery and reset the system by disconnecting power supply connector transformer to board for 5-10 second then connect back, Will hear 7 beeping mean already reset. Try open close a few time see the system still got stuck half way. First time run after reset slow dun worry just the board testing out the gate pressure. if no problem then buy a new backup to replace the old one. After a few month if still happen open or close half way then need to change the board already.

You mean the whole gate system or autogate only??? The whole system mean gate and autogate system. If autogate only then it's the motor system to open close gate.

Can I just switch off the main power supply at home and restart back? would it do the same trick? wanted to reduce risk of electrocuted.

Normally we will ask customer to change backup battery 2-3 years to prevent acid leak and sometime will short circuit the board. Customer normally never change. Yes can of the main hse DB if scare kena shock. Remember take out the battery then only reset the board and dun put back since already 5 years.
