hi for those who recently take passport for their month old baby. Do i need to prepare the photo in white background like adults' d. Any feedback on the latest process of this?

Take photo there but very hard because your anak will move around and have to take a few pics with imigresen officer.


Birth cert needed.

Hi /K, I done my passport renewal through online few days ago and received "CAP JARI TIDAK SAH" email yesterday, would like to ask do i have to queue for number to update or scan my fingerprint or i can straight walk in to counter? Passport collection place is at UTC Sentul. Planned to go on Saturday.

Update: Arrived at UTC Sentul on 9/November around 7.45PM and Jabatan Imigresyen open at 8am. Got 2 separate queue with sticker label on floor for both Online submission and QMS online ticket, the queue is not that long for online submission, make sure to bring along IC (must be new IC, old IC will get rejected), printed receipt for online submission and old passport. Around 8.05am is my turn to get numbering ticket, 8.45am verify my fingerprint and retake photo. Around 10am i got my passport. It is quite fast and convenience, far from my expectation actually. I think warga emas above 60 years old can walk in, because officer will call out warga emas before allowing others enter into office before 8am.

Hi guys, I had successfully renew my passport and pending for collect it. I knew that there're limited numbers of queue up ticket for those visitor to come for making/renew passport.
Does this limited tickets policy apply to those who come for "collection only"? (IF not, meaning i can go anytime, not need to queue up on early morning?)

I collected it yesterday. The staff just instructed me straight to collection counter after verifying the approval email and physical receipt. You can go anytime for collection.

Planning to renew my passport this coming Saturday at one of the UTC. So need to download and install the app called QMS to get a queue number. Need to confirm. Once I get the number, what should I bring along? Is it just the old passport and my new IC? The passport photo will be taken there, right?

Yes, use QMS app to get queue number.
Some start at 6am, some start 6:20am. and keep refreshing until you got it.

You only need old passport and new IC. Photo taken by them.

online system so slick, just take your own handsome photo and edit to your liking then upload and bayar

Next day can cut queue just bagi resit then the lady call your name in few minutes can leave with new passport

still i rather pay 450 give me 10 years, when da hell are we upgrading!

Too late renewed my passport last Saturday at UTC Keramat. Surprisingly, I was number 2 out of 180 and finished in less than an hour.

Once you get a q number, do you need to be there before your number is called? Will your turn be skipped if you reach there after your number has been called?

When I was there, no one missed their number.
But I think if you missed your Q number, talk nicely to officer, they might slot you in.

Btw, the QMS app can check what is the current running number. You will have an idea when is your turn.

At UTC Keramat once you missed your Q number, sorry no turning back. Need to get new number from QMS.

Hi guys, I got a temporary UK passport (for PR holders) to travel abroad because my Malaysian passport expired, cannot renew at High Comm in London because I don't have myKad. Now it's even worse.. this temporary passport I got makes them think that I am a citizen although I keep explaining to them I need a passport to travel thats the reason why I applied. They don't even wanna layan me, said they wont consider to renew mine. I'm a citizen of Malaysia but can't get a passport, is this a joke lol. No blacklist or anything.

I definitely want a Malaysian passport because this temporary passport making travel so hard.

Can I use this passport to travel back to Malaysia and renew my Malaysian passport? I'm not sure if I will face any issues to renew passport in Malaysia with entry record on a different passport. Pls advise! Thanks guys
