Okay thanks, just thought if someone has any similar experience entering Malaysia on different passport then renew it onshore.

My niece forgot to renew here passport, only realize when going to airport for morning flight. So go airport and postpone flight to afternoon. Then rush to Putrajaya to apply to renew. Got shop nearby who take photo and submit online, do all form filling online using handphone. After a short while, maybe 2 hours, got new passport already. Reach KLIA at 1pm, take 3pm flight.

Last month I renew mine. I ask the officer they say still under discussion. Not confirmed. Just a matter of time

Won’t be an issue. Because temporary passport has already been recorded in the system, there are single use temporary passport and multiple use. So which one is yours?

Just fly back to Malaysia using temporary passport

But first, lodge a police report at UK you lost your Malaysian IC, report it at embassy as well.

When back to Malaysia, bring along your Malaysia IC.

You need your birth certificate to get a new Malaysia IC in Malaysia as well.

15 years ago, I lost my IC and passport.
Make a police report
Bring that to Immigration said that I need temporary passport to travel to work in Singapore
Company send me confirmation letter I work in Singapore


Got issued temporary passport, after 1 month receive email that my new passport is ready

Sorry, cant remember which airline but it was a flight to Bali. Since I was already near KLIA when she realized the passport problem, she went to the airline counter to nego a change.

I recently went to the Shah Alam immigration office at PKNS, took me a total of 1 hour total. Only thing to note is the que system uses an app,
and you have to pay via fpx. After payment you have to find a shop to print the receipt.

I think this last part is annoying and benefits the stores near immigration feeding off the printing fees.

I live in the UK as as far as I am aware there is no such thing as a temporary UK passport for PR holders. British passport are issued only to citizens. Malaysia does not accept dual citizenship hence thats why the High Comm would not issue Malaysian passport
