Question: if the person’s passport already expired (2020), possible to renew online or must do QMS app number then go UTC line up?

Online je. Mine expired 2019 just renew online this year

Walked in to UTC Perak to complete the application and got the passport within 1.5 hours. Had to get a ticket via QMS app though - please note QMS app only available on iOS AppStore if the region is set to Malaysia.

How long before they send you confirmation ? Website say 24 hours but I still get the email.

i apply at night next day evening got email say thumb print problem ask me walk in
whichever branch you choose, dont choose puchong branch. that branch only give out 30 number daily

I used QMS app. 6 am sharp, queue number opens. I renewed back in April. No online, just walk in. I battled and got number 5 on the app. 8am I arrived in UTC Sentul KL. By 10am I got my passport already.

I checked the app again today and see that more immigration centres are added to the app. I hope one day all centres are available on the app. I loved it, no need to queue from 6am at the immigration office, can battle from anywhere.

Now I dunno whether I should walk in or continue waiting. Will I get scolded if I walk in ？lol

i received email after 1 hour of application saying LULUS, then want to book slot to collect,

i use firefox, chrome, IE, all cannot click next after enter necessary info

Same. Yesterday evening applied (photo had to redo 3 times though), paid, printed the receipt with borang and receipt number. Today morning received email with LULUS so went to the STO site to make appointment and got same experience as you. Funny how they use “walkin” in a BM sentence. No idea what’s going on. I just screenshot that page and will walk in when I’m free next week. If they ask anything, will show them that.

Happen to me. Juat go collecfion cwnter you choose, show payment receipt (when you made payment online). At collection, mine was utc shah alam, go to service counter, get number. Tbey finger printed me and took photo. Said online photo not clear.just be prepared for photo to be taken. I look like a %&£#@ in my passport photo.

Need appointment? Mine just walk in

previous need to book appointment and show to counter and take the queue number at kelana jaya

print the email with the LULUS, then walk-in when you are available, SHOULD be fine.

From my experience, it says make appointment, but once i get LULUS email, i just go next day and walk in, show the email and collect.

Ive done 3x renewals for myself/family in past 10 months.

KelanaJaya office in and out under 10mins
UTC Shah Alam, still have to wait about 30mins.

Print the email and resit and just walk in, you need to inform the immigration officer at the ticket number counter that you have apply online. show them your email and resit and they will give you a number

i walk in around 11am and collected my passport around 12pm the same day

surprise it is fast now, within 1 hour make payment straight LULUS,
no need retake photo,

went to UTC keramat, done collect in less than 5 minutes haha
