day before took photo and apply online, approved an hour later, tak sampai rumah lagi haha
next day walk in, ask if need to q, nice lady officer said no and just straight got my passport done
gila crazy fast in/out collect 5mins itu pun cuz my fingerprint bit hard

Update: Collected passport yesterday. Printed receipt and the LULUS email and brought old passport plus MyKad.

Apparently my passport was already made. I was under the assumption they would print the passport only after you go there and hand the documents. Expected to wait for at least an hour, but surprisingly it was all done in about 10 minutes. I think it actually took longer for me to find a parking spot.

UTC Johor Bahru is pure madness, btw. I guess it’s due to the proximity to Singapore. Your only hope here is online submission or the QMS app, because walk-ins are a lost cause unless you belong to the golden geriatric age group.

my passport will expired on March 2025

so, in reverse, 6 months before expiration is Oct 2024.

can i travel out to malaysia few days before Oct?

expired 5 march 2025. travel 29th Sept 2024.

Is the website down? When I went to apply for renewal online, keyed in my passport detail and press Carian then it just says Sistem Mengalami Masalah. Anyone facing same issue?

Old passport and ic lor. They need to potong the old passport. The ic to verify your fingerprint. Photo they'll take there if they don't like your on9 photo.

want to ask, online renew passport after i received email ask me go to cap jari, if i go afternoon 2pm they can done on same day also?

I went to UTC shah alam just to replace My IC due to chip rosak . 3rd in line but need to wait another 30-40 mins to collect . Coz i know Upstairs got immigration counter , i went up tried to pick up a number around 8.50 am . To My luck still got number also . Like 40 in queue. From going to counter ( mine old passport hilang so they had to create a report actually ) to taking pic to bayaran to collection . Took up till 1.00 pm .
I would say im satisfied only the waiting can be quite long . Seats are many . Bring a pen and u can print ur IC at the tour agency offices just next to the waiting area .
The UTC shah alam itself has many gov and gov linked counters . Got foodcourt , barber also .
When u sign and pick up the passport, got three types of passport cover official for sale . The rm25 cover is the nicest one . Regret not buying it .

I applied online this morning and this afternoon I received email that passport is ready for collection. Very quick. I did watch some youtube guide on how to upload the photos. Pretty straight forward.

when I did it the officer said if fail u must update/renew your IC to update the cap jari database

Can renew before expired. The renewed passport will have the new validity period in addition to the remaining validity period of the old passport.

But I mean like if got 4 years left, can renew? Hahahaaaaa...
