Interesting discussion.

Actually, I'm interested for getting City IDSi this year. Could anyone tell me what's the price for City IDSi? And how much you need to pay monthly? How about maintenance? I need some clarifications here smile.gif

Hopely I'll be able to get one.
*
For City IDSI, the price is RM79,800.00. (On-The-Road Price with Insurance). U might get some discount from the Sales agent..(few hundred to 2k i think, depends on how u negotiate v him/her la). As for monthly installment, its depends on ur down payment...n thus ur loan + interest v the bank and also how many yrs u wan to settle it. Ok, if lets say u put RM10k for down payment n get RM68k loan from bank v interest 2.3% (9 yrs loan). So, do the calculation lo:

If i not mistaken, should be like tis calc...

68k x 2.3%= 1564...means 1 yr interest is 1564 lo..
1564 x 9 (9yrs)= 14076....interest for ur loan is 14076 for 9 yrs.
Loan + interest= 68000 + 14076
= 82076
82076 / 108 (9 x 12 months)= 759.96

So, each month u need to pay RM759.96 lo.

As for maintenance, the Honda provide 2 years free service or 40,000km (whichever comes first). So, tis save a lot of ur money too... tongue.gif

This is related to alarm. Anything related to alarm most prolly they'll refer back to Cobra Msia except for the grey connector between the keys n control unit which they sell them at SC.

city's interest rate is 2.18% if you take a look at the website..
if u don't want the cheap int rate promotion, you can opt for RM850 cash rebate...

Okie, my SA happily called me today saying that the previous discount that she mentioned on Nov 07 was void, as the its meant for the Christmas package ( meaning 07' car ), now she can only give me discount up to RM850 ( which was the CNY promotion ) and asked me whether I am still comfortable. Well, I did not answer her immediately but shall come back to her tomorrow or day after tomorrow as I was thinking maybe I can check with you guys first before I committed( but since RM2k booking fee was paid, I doubt its too late to revoke but the only option is to squeeze for further discount ).

Anyone? Hmm...I believed those who are anticipating for the car before CNY should have their HP loan approved and pending acceptance. Should you would revoke it and fall back to the 1.38% that they offer ( I think I will prefer this since the cash rebate is lesser, sucks!!!), you might possibily delay the delivery of the car.

Well, anyone, any input?

On the road price for City Vtec is RM85,800. FC?? If compare v idsi, sure la idsi better than Vtec but in 1.5cc car category..FC of city vtec can consider is very good liao. biggrin.gif (some ppl can get 16km/l but some can only get 11km/l). Btw, its all depends on ur driving style...

In term of price, for Idsi is RM79,800. So, vtec is RM6k more than the idsi...but the Vtec have:

~Vtec - 4 Cylinders, 16 Valve, SOHC VTEC - (110PS/5800rpm)....<Idsi - 4 Cylinders, 8 Valve,SOHC i-DSI - (88PS/5500rpm)>
~Braking System(Rear) - Solid Disc..<Idsi is using drum>
~Door Mirror with Turn Light
~Coloured Mud Guard
~Exhaust Pipe Finisher
~Self-Illuminating Meter
~7-speed Mode Steermatic
~Leather Steering Wheel
~Shift Knob with Emblem
~AUX Jack

Maintenance i think vtec n idsi almost the same la....u can refer the honda website:

Preventive Maintenance Service Schedule

As for market value, now the diff between idsi is around 2k to 5k. Both also got the market value coz its Honda.

For me, i will choose Vtec over Idsi... tongue.gif but, its all depends on u...u wan more power (110ps) v 7-speed Mode Steermatic??? or u wan power (88ps) but also a good FC car??? rolleyes.gif

** F.E.A.T (Fuel Efficiency Automobile Test) involves the City Idsi on a full 42 litres of petrol, covering a distance of 662.5 km...(26.2km/l)

if u want smooth ride, go for city...

after that, if u want more power and fun driving style choose vtec...

the fuel consumption is ok... who said its high? i currently always get 15.8km/l and tops at 18km/l.. not yet 1k service, this sat will go. after 1k service, the engine will be much efficient, plus all the components and thus the fuel efficiency will be good.

if u wanna save a lot on fuel, choose idsi.

Vtec's arent that much of a fuel guzzler when comparing it to other cars in its class (1.5L) imho.. still it depends on your driving style.. if ure not a speed hog, sure easily can get 15km/l in a vtec...

FC -> i-dsi (hands down) - my all time best was 18.6km/l only
Power -> vtec ( brows.gif ..hands down)
maintainance -> if got warranty ( thumbup.gif ) if warranty fin (ready your cash laa.. whistling.gif )

but real bummer la now i-dsi got no 7speed.. come to think bout it i bought the city solely bcoz of the 7speed.. but i really seldom use it, unles overtaking and just to show-off at colleagues.. maybe there's logic in honda's decision to remove it frm new idsi's.. if FC is your concern, by all means go for idsi.. a fuel price hike is just arnd the corner you know.. whistling.gif
