gonna purchased this new city (vtec) soon. Planned to get a test drive this sat.


can someone share their views on this steermatic thing? cool?

the modulo kit is look sporty and nice though

got a test drive yesterday. vtec version.

feels tall when i entered the cockpit. the interior was nicely built. Love the steering design. love the seats and all the knobs.

when driving, the steering was very light! the acceleration was very smooth (thanks to the CVT). one thing i like is when i floor the pedal, the responds was quick. the 's' mode was fun, able to rev higher. and i thing i like the most is the 7speed steermatic very fun to drive.

all looks positive, i'll join u guys soon enough.

thinking to get the grey color. and now thinking whether to get the modulo kit or not...

haha, honda was right, city is fun to drive want more f1 style driving, take the 2.0s civic with paddle shit. thats the real f1

yesterday i went to the honda showroom @ mofaz building near ikea there. The SA gave me only 1000 rebates. my dad found one showroom @ jalan ipoh. the SA there takes my wira higher. So, maybe im gonna go there at last.

civic long way to go, maybe after 4-5 yrs of city can consider.

thats what i heard also, some get free tint. im still going to few showrooms to get better bargain. the most important thing is i'll definitely consider the one who takes my wira higher.

u right. if i take the modulo kit it will total up tp 90k. (85k + 5k). quite expensive though. but it look hot! maybe can get aftermarket. cheaper eh?

damn, after test drive yesterday, feel wired and uncomfortable driving my wira already. haha..

u right, drive stock 1st, slowly mod...

but some people thinks waja handling are much better than city/vios. Its like getting waja is more value than extra 30k for city. but i think otherwise. maybe waja good in handling, but i think overall city are much better. city are more fun to drive, better fuel consumption, newer technology, proven vtec, higher 2nd value. like in the city's brochure said " different people interpret driving experience differently..." haha

actually in the 1st place i have 3 choice; new vios, 2nd 7th gen civic and this vtec city. i dont like the new vios interior and the centered meter, plus no steermatic thing . 2nd hand civic, im a bit worry to get 2nd hand car. and i choose new city is because its new plus 2 years free service, and plus all the points i mentioned before.

my wira is not really that bad. but too much engine problem i had encountered. gasket lah, engine oil leak lah. last month i just did top overhaul for my wira.

but i do agree ur saying = what u pay is what i get.

city is the best? yes i do agree, but wait till the new 2008 accord comes... ahahha. damn cun (honda US website)

its a luck maybe? haha but my dad's 1.8 DOHC wira (almost 7 yrs) is still going strong and no major probs... the pick-up still good. maybe the earlier batch good eh?

slowly get ur dream... i dreamed owning a city quite a time.. after working hard, now can get already... worth all the sweat..

poison with bigger engines eh? i love the all the civics family.. especially 6th (ferio rite), 7th & 8th...

slowly la... after city then civic.. never own a honda, so get use to honda starting with city la...

i started to love hondas after driving my fren's 7th gen civic RS 2.0. when the vtec kicks in... oooooooo...

good good, its a motivation for u to work hard and earn more... at the end of the day, u gain everything...

but, later when u wanna buy city, new city comes in... also a big headache there

im more keen towards the 2.0s ones. paddle shift is interesting!
but what to do, work hard also not yet able to get new civic... so slowly.. haha

damn... dun la poison me getting the civic pulak...

done the calculations with SA, trade in and how much to top up and stuff (for city & civic). for civic i need extra 10k to get 'not so burden' monthly installment of 10++. whereas if i take the city is only 7++ per month.

i can do 1k per month but where can i get 10k for deposit??? haiyaa

i have a plan... i use city first... then in 3-4 years im able to save abt 30-35k. trade the city, and get civic with low monthly payment... good plan eh? haha

went to SA yesterday, lucky me, when i bring my wira there, SA take higher than previous price that he mentioned

now loan application is in process. Everything looks good, next month new city! can smell new honda already... hahah

btw, theres a lot of people yesterday at showroom. SA said they already have confirmed order for 5 civics and 10 citys in the weekends. i guess a lot of people shopping new car for xmas and cny.

now, every time on the road see city and civic, can wait to get the car already. I noticed the new fit/aria and gonna be new city, but i cant wait longer, my wira will be depreciate more then..

i have no problem with the new vios, looks sporty and modern, (camry'ish') but when i sat in the cockpit, feels like not toyota (even the new persona's interior is better imho). and dont like the centered meter.

but when sat in city, is different

btw, went to SA yesterday, paid the booking fee (RM2000) (apparently 3000 for civic). in 1 month can get new city... damn, a lot of people booked this city, maybe for new year and cny...i booked the sparking grey ones..

hahah in one month i finally could say, "hey TS, put my name in the owner's list!' hahaha!

loan amount? i cant remember, around 75k or 77k, monthly around 830 something like that. the calculation table that SA gave me left in my house.

i lost a lot on my wira...
