Guys,

Spotted this thread after busy replying enquiry posts from the fashion and beauty section. Hmm, am getting a new city next year, early 2008. Any good SA to introduce? I am considering the one that is besides Sin Chew PJ or the one around assunta hospital.

Please advise. Thank you.

p/s:kinda lazy to browse through the previous posts

The SA fellas have around 2 to 3K to play around with, that's why can give V-Kool la, this la, that la. cool2.gif
If the gift offer is right, go ahead.
If u wanna a good discount, go down south. rolleyes.gif

but frm what i remember, its not a 'security' feature, its used when you have problems to shift the gear, i.e your gear shift is jammed..

The SC mechanic told me a bit about shift lock. We use it if the City gear get jammed (meaning you can't change gear).

To use this releasing feature, use your Honda City key (the one with immobilizer) and insert it to the small slot beside your gear.

Once inserted, the gear will free up - releasing Shift Lock.
*
Thanks neato4u. rclxms.gif
which means we'll have to shut off the transmission before we can do that, right???
Actually, wat makes this happen, under wat circumstance would the gear lock - up?
anything to prevent??? notworthy.gif

btw, Ex-CT Owner yeahh... could u provide some details on how u got te car nicked?
no offence, matey... just probably u may fill us up on where to avoid parking or wat to avoid forgetting... icon_rolleyes.gif

So wad can i do wit tat? Hav ur new lovely car get scratch also? How u feeling? Me sad and be song, or izzit i hav to use to it? Coz most car in KL get scratch here n there 1

Btw going to reach 1k milege soon. So wanna bring car to services. Wad should i need to do? What they check normally? any charges 4 the servicing?

Hi splinter, i know how u feel. sad.gif
the other day, i send in my car to the carwash in my apartment compound becoz suddenly kena bomb by pigeons & crows in the notorious Sri Petaling area, but the idiot used an old rag from a torn piece of trousers (u know how rough those things are, rite???) and wiped my windows from inside...
Before i could stop them, oredi scratched the tinting... vmad.gif
Idiots with capital I... vmad.gif

anyway, i am learning to live with it. cry.gif

1K service, they will only ask u if there's anything unusual bout your car...
My experience, i told them my VTEC FC was quite high (9.4km/l), the side mirrors not in-sync when folding, the washer nozzle shoot till kena the car at the back & so on... icon_idea.gif
Usually, there won't be much complains u can make bout the car...
But u can ask them to rectify anything u feel out-of-place...
BTW, i got a Red "Honda Racing" Cap from the SC.. whistling.gif

some SA gives tint as free gift.
1k discount from SA i think is standard.
1.2k from Honda is for year end car.
*
Fellas, I got RM1,480 off the car for Merdeka + RM1K from the SA. tongue.gif
The thing is, scout around, some even say they top up "personal discount", and it's a good thing, coz year-end oredi ma... some more their quota or sales target oredi achieve, so Honda Malaysia, I heard, also gives them (The Dealer) incentives... nod.gif
So as long as the Sales Manager feels that your enquiry & interest is genuine, no reason for not giving further discount, given their said position... hmm.gif
So, IMHO, the key is:
1. Scout around
2. Know what you want, i.e.: color, variant (IDSI or VTEC)
3. Know the current situation elsewhr
4. If you are an inconsiderate A**H*LE like me... icon_idea.gif - bring along the tabulation (the piece of paper whr the SA writes down the loan calculations, the d/p, the no. of mths, etc...) and ask the other SA to match that...
Chances are, you may walk away with ot just a new car (not: free car) + more than just a key chain, TNG Card, Petrol Vouchers, Tinting, Honda Cap, Honda Water Tumbler, etc...

Happy Hunting... thumbup.gif

Good Morning, City-zens...
I was wondering if any of u guys experience a 'soaring' sound wen taking corners? icon_question.gif
I hope it's not the bearings or the wheel bush... blink.gif
And also, my 5K km service will be due very soon...
Anythg special to watch out for, or anythg I should ask the SC fellas to keep an extra eye on? blush.gif
Consumption is about RM0.17 / km, KL driving, with the ocassional Smart Tunnel & jams...
Is this normal for a VTEC??? hmm.gif
Thanks, guys. notworthy.gif
BTW... i checked out the Accessory Shop here around my office in OUG...
Asked bout the door visor (i hope that's wat they're called) - you know, the plastic thingy which keeps the rain out wen u lower ur windows while driving - and the fella quoted me RM145.00 for the set.
Malaysian made for factory, he said, not from China... hmm.gif
Anyone knows if I can find this thing cheaper elsewhere???
Of course, quality will be a concern la...
Thanks notworthy.gif

low rpm doesn't meant that you'll get better FC
drive with the right gear at the right speed.
you can manually use 7th gear and start from 0 if you like, confirm low rpm (and car can't move)
drive at the right speed. constant at 90km/h has better FC than constant 80km/h with the same distance.

i made some inquiries to the honda sc about the door visor, he told me after install that visor will get noisier wind noise rclxub.gif
then i decided not to install it anymore.
anyone here installed the visor and get lower wind noise?
*
Thanks all of u guys who took the trouble to explain stuff... notworthy.gif
U guys rock... rclxms.gif
BTW, is RM0.17/km really, like, really high???
Wat's the usual for the VTEC??? hmm.gif
I also don't buy the Honda Campaign that the i-DSi gets 22.6+km/l, which translates to less than 8sen/km... yawn.gif
Wind noise with visor? Can it really get lower with the visor, or, nothing significantly different?
U know, it gets really useful wen u're driving on the highway & get sangap for a smoke in the car... blush.gif
Wat bout trickle sound during rain?
I notice i get trickling sound at the door, as though somebody is knocking a 20sen coin against the window when i drive in the rain... hmm.gif

QUOTE(Fasap @ Nov 9 2007, 04:37 PM)
That's quite high in normal standards @ 11km+/L imho..

but it all depends on driving style and drive condition. your FC will be good if you tend to make long journeys, at constant speed (i.e hiway), but will indeed rack up if you make a lot of short distance trips, before the engine can properly heat up (i.e <20km). Dont expect great FC if you tend to travel short distances a lot.

you can also try and look in here for a lot of Vtec FC feedback and you can at least project what's the best FC for vtec:
http://teamcity.proboards31.com/index.cgi?...read=1124288017

*courtesy of teamcity forums

and yeah.. 26.2km/L is damn BS to me, unless its 100% hiway @ 60km/h, for i-dsi the best i got on a 100% hiway trip (35L) was a mere 22km/L @ 80-110km/h, with the occasional 7speed stints smile.gif .

cheers!  thumbup.gif
