7speed mode is controlled by the ECU so u either need to replace the ECU with the older idsi version which has 7 speed mode or its just a matter of reverting the software version to the older version which supports 7 speed mode. then get a steering with 7 speed mode button. ur speedo need to change too to display the gear number. easily runs into thousands and theres no guarantee it will work. theres still alot of technical stuff we might miss in here.

Hey everyone, Honda City VTEC owner here Would like to ask you guys this; will sending your car to a Honda Service Centre void your warranty if your car was physically damaged? I knocked a Waja from behind and now my hood can't close down properly, the front of the car was pushed in slightly. I went to a shop with the Waja's owner to get quick quotation and he said he could do knock my car's front back to normal, will cost roughly RM100. My major concern here is, will a repair done by non-Honda service centre void my warranty? I only bought the car May this year and I'm reluctant to lose my warranty over this Please please help!! Onegai!!

I am so distraught over this, I owned up to my mistake and will pay for the guy's repair. Would the warranty be voided immediately on the spot or would they just advise and "see what happens"? The shop I went to can do the "knocking" but would take a day. And I'm just afraid as it's not a shop I'm familiar with and if they do any "chopping". Advise please

Advise please I am not sure bout the shop u sent but i wouldn't risk a change putting my new car on the unknown shop for a day. Would u? As i have said that if the accident didnt touches any of ur engine part then u are quite safe. If they know that the car involve in any accident, they might write it down in the report to cover their ass up if there is any problem near the area in the future.

What I know is this. If the accident did not cause any damage to your engines, or any parts under warranty, then there is nothing to fear when you send to SC. Car chassis is not under warranty. From the look of it the guy who offer to knock your car only charge 100, which means most likely your chassis only have minor injury, engines spared from the accident.
