anyone having this problem...

speeding at >140km/h, there is a sound coming in. i think its from the tire...

time for balancing and alignment? any ideas?
*
Wind sound or tyre sound? Don;t think, please make sure.

Actually City have alot of sound given free by Honda heheheh

If you drive around 80kmph and above, you'll hear the CVT aeroplane sound, wind sound. City also very famous for dashboard sound. Even the Kenwood player's panel will produce sound. Damn...

Anyway, when is the last time you did you balancing? I remember that Honda Service Centre will ask if you wanna do alignment and balancing, plus they will rotate the tires position for you.

my dashboard is having sound/noise too
the upper glove compartment, when go thru bumper roads sure can hear the plastic hammering plastic crack crack sound..

any idea how to get rid of it?? sighhh
*
Got. I have this problem for more than 9 months. My previous service fix it. My record in Honda Service Center is famous, even the girl can remember lol.

Anyway, what actually gives out noise is the glove compartment. Other is since teh dash board is made out of 2 touching plastics, they knock each other every time you go thru a bumpy road. What the Service Center did is:

They readjust the glove compartment
They stuff in sponge and cloth that act as a dampener.

That is not all for me. My driver side door panel gives me rattling sound, my headrest gives me sound, my power windows motor gives me problem, lol, so many problem. But then I enjoy driving City better than Vios

Good luck to you man. I hope this information could help you.

No it is not. Better bring to Service center and let them replace the light (or anything that cause it), if you are still under warranty. If you are not under warranty, I think they'll charge you a bomb.

Actually this is quite normal. Mine the same as yours. Unless you make some mods to it

as far as i know, there are no temperature indication
it will only appear when is is overheated.
otherwise no signs.
7speed mode :
when u in D mode, press the "7 speed mode" at your steering.
then u can control it by pressing up and down.
this manual mode doesnt work in N or P gear.
to off : press the "7 speed mode" again.

Note: stupid function la ~ i dont think anyone use it in daily driving
*
Try it when you want to go fast, then tell me if you think it's a stupid function

IC, what is 195? What is 55?
The reason I want to maintain my Honda rims is because I don't want my car to be sporty.
I want it to maintain professional and yet have a larger width to eliminate the "kaki itik" view from behind.  biggrin.gif

Yeah, I agree that my Vtec suspension is a bit hard. When going through some holes/uneven roads, it's like riding a horse.
But there's a reason to it I assume, the engineers design it this way so that it could cope with our engine power?
*
There is a reason, it's for better handling. Maybe you might notice the handling difference between iDSi and VTEC. iDSi is more towards comfort while VTEC, which is for performance and tuned for racing, so handling must be good, which equals harder suspension

Really? I haven;t got shock by it yet. Follow this - before you touch your car, touch your cars with your keys. Touch the car using a key that have plastic enclosures, if you don;t want to shock yourself in the process. If nothing happens, you're good. If there is a spark, ho ho ho, you know lor

there are several types of side steps. One is from Mugen, i think kinda expensive, can;t remember the price. Another two are aluminum type, i think around RM60 - RM120, can;t remember the exact price.

I am not sure whether its from inside of the speaker or boot cover. Anyone ahs this kind of problem before. Normally when this kind of problem happen, do you think i should go back to Honda service centre, and the thing is are they willing to dislocate everything just to find out the weird sound for me?
*
This is what i think you should do first before going to SC

Take out everything in your booth, like basket, etc, anything that can move mo matter how small it is. Make sure your spare tyre is tightly screwed down. If better, take out the spare tyre. Take your car for a spin, then hear if the sound is still there. If yes, it might be the shock absorber. Take it to SC, since your car is still under warranty. YOu might need to leave your car there for a day or two, so you might wanna bring a friend

Then i think you will most likely get the same answer. Your car is still under warranty, it is best to go to SC, to avoid getting the warranty void

because when you go into N, the gearbox will spin back to it's normal speed, which is low. When you suddenly go into D, or S, it spin back at high speed all of the sudden, this will damage your gearbox. Our gearbox is CVT, it;s not like the normal gearbox, our's more delicate and requires more care. Oh if you don;t know, normal transmission gearbox cost several thousands, our CVT gearbox cost more than RM20k. Still wanna take a chance? most people won't^^

better leave it at 'd' because CVT can enhance our engine braking while cruising downhill...

but is it not advisable to change mode from 'd' to 's' while moving? how to climb the hill then? or is okay in slow?

can, just not when you are moving high speed or at high rpm you suddenly shift from N to D
