No money for the new batch of City although my mum owns one (2007 VTec) =\

But up until now I'm quite satisfied with the car. Although when driving at 120km/h for more than 3 hours the car heats up. I have already flushed the Radiator and change all Radiator hoses but this only minimizes the problem, not solving it

It was raining and i was cornering at a moderate speed, when all of a sudden the car slips and turned 180 degree over.
Then i hit the brick divider.

Drive safe bro, I'm personally a safe driver as I believe you can never predict road conditions.

The last time I whacked my left side of my car into the bumper of a C200 Compressor and dented 2 sections (left front and left passenger door). The knocking + painting costs me RM280. Just FYI.

1st time heard of it loh, unless u use it to climb mountain for continuosly 3 hours lah

The condition is driving at 120km/h for continuous 3 hours. Radiator already flushed with Radiator Flush and all Radiator Pipings changed. I can still drive but once the needle goes above half I'm not comfortable with it sad.gif

Maybe it's an old car? My friend's having a 1999 Hyundai Sonata and it has the same problem eg. driving at normal speed for extended hours without stopping and it has the same problem. Would assume that old cars have inadequate cooling mechanisms in place.

Been thinking about the Boron Nitride that I have seen. A case study on a brand new Toyoto Hilux Commonrail Turbo squeeze out average 9bhp up to 3500rpm.

my car is city gold color

How old is your car? So fast want to do re-spray? Usually not advisable since Original Paints are always better than respray ones sad.gif

Everyone so syiok buy new car. TOmolo i going check it out Black City 2003. If everything is good, will arrange for bank loan and trying to find best bank loan with lowest interest!

Black looks nice but one of the hardest paint to maintain. Remember to wax often smile.gif

What's the lowest FC you guys ever got? Mine is 17.4km/litre (drive my mum's city from time to time)
Distance : 350km (JB - KL)
Mode : 7-speed
FC: 17.4 km/litre
Petrol: Esso Regular (RON92)

Nice FC...Idsi or V-Tec?

My V-Tec hv been giving average FC of 14.7km/l

Its VTec. But please note that it was a long distance drive from JB to KL at 7-speed mode. I tried another time at AT mode and it gave me 16.4km/litre. Also cruising at 120km/h, 7-speed mode really gives good FC smile.gif

If I drive my mum's VTec around JB City my FC is about 11.9 - 13.0km/litre. If got go to Singapore the FC sure shoot up to 15.0 km/litre

According to another of my friend who drives an i-Dsi (my friends are Honda gang), he's getting about 12.5km/litre driving in Johor city. Just FYI.

i booked sparkle gray too...but i wonder should i consider other color if there is other....

Sparkle Gray is the easiest colour to maintain, and it looks nice, too. That's why its such a "hot" colour.

Now JB Yong Ming Motor got promotion, buy spare remote control is RM190. Last time RM300+. My mum quickly bought one as we busted one by dropping it into the water last year sad.gif

What I'm worrying is the paint. Will it fade after years? As our original paint that came out from factory has a protection layer on it right? Wonder if the outside workshop did that as well?

The paint will not fade if you Wax it from time to time as the layer of Wax will protect it from bombardment of UV Rays.

The original paint that comes out from factory DO NOT have a protection layer. In fact, they are no different than the paints used in workshops. The main difference lies in how they apply and cure the paint. Normal workshops only cure the paint @ 80 degree celcius factories cure the paint @ 170 degree celcius thereby enabling the paint to adhere to your car body properly, which is why resprays can never beat Original ones, in Malaysia that is.

That said, if you want to protect your paint from fading/cracking/hazing etc. just wash & wax regularly using the correct protocols. I have posted a Proper Car Wash Techniques under "Car Detailing Enthusiasts" thread that you can download and refer smile.gif

is it true that a new version of City will come out soon?

thinking of purchasing a city as well, but if rumour is true, maybe will wait for the new facelift version n see wat happens.... smile.gif

This year's Honda Accord and Jazz(Singapore). Next year's City. 2010 is Civic. My source of info is from the 8th Gen Civic Club Vice President

Got my VTEC for 5 months already but only use the 7 Speed twice.
But the 7-Speed is useful when you climb hill. You can adjust the speed so that you can climb with more power.
That's what I think the good side of 7-Speed.

On normal road, there's really nothing special about it.
*
Without the 7-speed mode on Highway, my FC is 16km/ltr. With it, its 17km/ltr. That's another way to use it smile.gif

Is it me or somehow i just fell when turning left, it's block by the big bar thing? I dun wat it call la. The side frame of the car. I mean the bar damn fat and block my view. Blind spot leh...

If you think City's big you should check out Satria Neo's one, the whole windscreen position is just wrong

Type-R is the best one!!! If got money, sure will go for it (nearly RM200k!! 1 Legend = 3 Type-R)

Problem is cars like Type-R are not designed for day to day driving. I myself, prefer Suzuki Swift Sports for a day to day sporty city car:cool2:

For mine it was quiet at first. Now that the car is 2 years old its becoming more noisy. The wind sound is minimal though, it was the louder engine noise that annoys me sad.gif

V-Kool is memang expensive than other brands. I know a multigard tint shop quite well as they are just next to my shop. up till now their tint is quite good, I myself using a Green Tint (remove 95% heat), workng quite nicely. Want me to ask for you? I can get a quotation for your City

Then why don't you just respray the panels that have chips instead of the whole car? A good respray job will have no problem matching the colours as Honda City's colour is pretty easy

People... juz wanted to check with you. I collected my car on last sat, but I was so shocked to know the fuel is so low and no water for my wiper... e service guy told me that they already put everything, did anyone encounter same problem ah?

Otherwise, the car is in a very goody good condition! ;o)

Its a service issue, thats why u have bad salesman and very very bad salesman. And yes, I'm biased towards salesman.

As for respray jobs, rather than talking about the price, I will recommend you to find those that gives GOOD service even though its more expensive. I have very very bad experiences with cheap and bad service paint jobs. The paint on the top hood cracks after only 2 years and they screw up my electrical wirings and short-circuited my headlights + alarms. Even the hinge on my door is slightly crooked causing my door unable to close fully sad.gif
