Anybody know, SWU3.0 still applicable for September?

As long no new announcement, yes.

For all we know, Sept 30 announce, but will take effect in January 2024

From past experience, this is true. March announce internet price reduction by June, then June to September. Probably last day of september, realise his KPI cannot achieve, then extend another 3 months.

Currently using TP Link AX72 with AX5400, should I keep this as main router near to modem on first floor, and using DLINK AX3000 as extender at ground floor? Keep the other AX3000 or sell it off

Or Use one AX3000 as router and another AX3000 as ground floor mesh? Existing TPlink AX72 will be wasted
*
i think sell all the d link off, will be my option/opinion.

but first try out , 2 dlink in mesh mode. see how the performance . better coverage and stronger wifi signal is the expectation.
it has op mode and bridge mode only .

AX72 is the better router.

Just now I went Unifi store (IOI City Mall) to check SWU 3.0  (300Mbps), SA asked me where I know about this package, then told me on 300Mbps package, either:
- Broadband package @ rm119+
- TV package @ rm189+ (Only Ultimate Plus pack or top-up fo Max pack, no more offer Aneka / Ruby / Varman)

The SWU 3.0 on 300Mbps:
- Free speed upgrade (12 months?)
- 24 months contract
- Free Wifi6 Mesh (only for Broadband package)
- Free Unifi Plux Box (only for TV package)

I said will wait for Sep announcement, he said this is finalized package for Sep announcement, he even showed me the info received from HQ in today. I didn't take the offer and left.

BTW… I'm still with Super Value YEP2019 (100Mbps + 600 min free calls + Ruby Plus Pack) for rm129+.

My update after visit Unifi Store @ IOI City Mall on First day of Sep-2023.

SWU3.0 for 300Mbps remain the same for Sep-2023 - no change. (I didn't ask for other speed).
This mean free Mesh wifi, waive for six month, free speed upgrade to 500Mbps (1 year), plus 2 years contract.

Now the staff told me they offer Unifi TV pack with 300Mbps broadband package:
1. Aneka, Ruby and Varnam at RM149
- New Unifi Plus Box (UPB) not included, have to pay RM20 for 24 months if want to upgrade.
- UPB was free when sign-up before 1st Sep-2023. blink.gif

2. Ultimate plus around RM189 (RM119 + RM69.90).
- Free UPB

**Ultimate Max only for 500Mbps onward only, not available for 300Mbps.

The staff went in to check with their manager about the package, still the same - no longer give free UPB for RM149 package (300Mbps + Ruby Plus pack).
I don't mind to sign-up as if still free UPB, since the offer same as last month.

But now... no free UPB pula, aiks.... should I take it or not, I'm still using old hypptv box (silver box). hmm.gif sweat.gif

they reduce the goody?!

it sucks to pay rm20x24 just to view aneka/varnam/ruby. that's rm149+20 = rm169 pm.

better go 189 to get ultimate plus w/box... disney+h, iqiyi, netflix, lionsgate...

of that's the trend, the offers are now getting worse!!!

For me ultimate pack or nothing. Don't want in between. VAR pack seems low value even with older boxes but cannot watch some channels and just one ott to redeem

I am a current Maxis Broadband user contract ended 1.5years ago and went to Unifi to consult on changing then they offered me SWU3.0 but later told me she could only confirm to me on Monday if I could still subscribe to it.

The question I have is would anyone think the SWU3.0 is going to be cheaper than the pending new announcement of packages after the slash of MSAP BY 50%?

I’m thinking not necessarily given the current price on pakej rahmah not that cheap but what’s s your thought?

ONE. Nobody knows what's in store for September 2023. Or maybe October. Or November. Or December. I think you can understand how underwhelming our Fahmi is, being toyed by telcos and ISPs. You can see how frantic everyone is trying to secure deals now before they announce the "September" surprise, as everyone is using what happened in 2018 as reference when speed was double and prices was halved. It might not be true this time around with a weak Fahmi needing his wife to drop hints onto him, but everyone is hopeful still.

TWO. MSAP concerns wholesale price between service providers. That's why other HSBB riders had to wait for TM to publish RAO first, then only they'll be able to run simulations for pricing strategy that includes how big the pipeline they can sustain, promotion costs, number of subscribers uptake and churn, etc etc. How it actually translates to lower consumer retail pricing will depend on the provider itself after factoring what else god only knows. So don't set expectations too optimistic and too hopeful of a joyous 50%. as written by business newspaper days ago, the MSAP might not translate to cheaper pricing for lower end of Mbps subscriptions; need to remember there is fixed costs bottom line that cannot go down further applicable to each port, whatever speed one is subscribing to.

Right, if watching TV, better go ultimate plus or max.

To get the high value vod apps.

HBOgo is said to start in Oct but unclear it will ilbe incl in plus n max or not.

Old existing ultimate is not being offered anymore, it seems.

the way the message was delivered...

... sounded like it won't be included outright in any tv pack.
probably as add-on subscription, but at better rate than "retail".

nobody can predict what TM is planning to unveil. Or WHEN will be unveiled.
if we tell you "go" or "no go" and turned out it was no better, nanti kena blame pulak. πŸ˜…

Our weak Fahmi (or was it MCMC) only said "after September".
under pressure, he then revised it to "begining September".

Well, wake me up when September ends.

Yes, obviously won’t see anything much lower for 100mbps and below.

I’m looking at somewhere in the region of 300mbps minimum so thinking that SWU3.0 at RM119 with 6m waiver seems to be pretty decent.
