No need. My SWU 2.0 I still have free calls to local fixed line and mobiles.
*
You sure about that? I don't think your new bill will show any call plan for your fixed line.

Confirmed I had posted my latest bill before on the free calls.

At least for me is still free. If urs is not then too bad. 🤪

Actually SWU got free call even TM Point told me over the counter mentioned to me that remove the 60 minutes free call. I found out only when I changed my Unifi SWU plan. biggrin.gif

The UnifiTV package should be removed. But you still have access with your previous ID for the free channels, and the 20-second previews.

Similarly, the phone line still works, but now you will have to pay for calls...

Negative for my situation as I can't login using previous ID and password. Unifi needs me to subscribe TV pack in addtion. Surprisingly you still able to enjoy unifi TV and free call

I can confirm with you that once removed unifitv package, you can't use previous ID to login. If want to watch local TV you can create new ID to watch thru mobile.

Thru handphone app only. Tvbox won't work unless you got mod version.

DiR 842 can flash open wrt but just like another similar model (tplink c6 / a6 qualcomm version) the wifi function range and NATed network speed will be even worse due to lacking proprietary drivers by qualcomm. I suggest you learn about how to use openwrt before ever trying

Qca9863 is very weak for 2023 standards. Openwrt cannot make use of hardware offloading on qca9863. So that's why NATed speed will be significantly worse than stock firmware

Sorry , not familiar with ddwrt , I though flashing with wrt will improve connectivity ? no ?
The reason i wanted to flash was to test whether it'll improve wifi connection and i wanted an extra function like power down the router at admin setting.
Stock tm firmware only have reboot but no power down.Did I miss something ?
I plug my external HDD 2.5 but there is no power down button or safely remove. What should I do ? forcefully remove the HDD that is running ?

It's 2023, custom firmware only provide added features. Gone are the days where vendors happily provide the source code.

Their performance and stability is way worst than stock firmware most of the time as they do not have access to the Wi-Fi drivers and many other non-standard ARM features backed in the SoC including NAT acceleration, Wi-Fi offload engine, crypto and etc.

Don't think the TM D-Link firmware comes with an unmount (safety remove) feature.

Just curious before i head to TMPoint tomorrow.

Just update my case incase useful to anyone.

Went tmpoint with next of kin. They ask for death cert. They did change of ownership to next of kin.

She noted that contract ended oct 2022.

Then they offered 300mbps, rm129, free 6 months 2yr contract.

They are light users. So went with 100mbps rm119 instead.

Didnt need to do anything with maxis or whatever. Tm straight up offer this.

Hmmm, RM119 for 100mbps, while 300mbps cost RM129. Previously someone got RM99 for 100mbps. TM memang pandai.
