For me, I go for 32GB because I run a lot of docker containers, k8s testing, and run Windows virtual machines. Even 32GB I doubt not enough to run all at the same time but 64GB takes too long to ship. If you develop normal apps, 16GB is more than enough.
Can suggest me any paid basic k8s course? I'm using docker for microsrvice but haven't reach k8s level yet, can you help sharing some insight?
Wanna ask if any of you can recommend me a portable SSD storage? (around 512 GB)
I'm currently using a 2 TB seagate HDD and the transfer of 400gb of files (from 13" M1 MBP to new 16" M1 Max MBP) take ~25 days lol i dont know whats wrong, but anyway its really filmsy
Preferably a 512 GB SSD with USB-C connection, not sure if there's such thing
I'm having this weird issue, anyone can share screenshot trial for istat menu or tg pro? My mac is base model 14", so 8 core meaning 6 performance core and 2 efficient core right? Somehow mine is 8 performance core and 2 efficient core
Edit: or it is this 2 software fault?

I'm using iStat Menu, but it's the paid version. I'm using the 16inch M1 Pro.
Usually if its 8 cores means 2 efficient cores and 6 performance cores. I suspect your software should be buggy.
Thanks for reply. Both istat menu and tg pro gives me reading for 10 core which is weird(its not the same temp each on idle). But cinebench/geekbench benchmark is on par with 8 core version
I'm loving my new 14" monster. Quick review Transition my current software engineering from hackintosh to new mbp, everything 90% work oob. 10% my docker project fail(mysql obviously), but then this is blessing in disguise, while debugging to troubleshoot, i upgraded my image to multiarch, and unknowingly optimize the large memory usage issues we've been facing. I'm lovin it!
this is my current work memory usage after 2 days of using it. my last hackintosh spec is i9-9900t laptop, 16gb ram and quite laggy due to low memory. but after using hackintosh for 2 years, i just jumpship due to huge performance increase and lightweight laptop! best decision ever
edit: forgot to mention, the temp on my hackintosh would retain in 80-90 deg c as quite heavy work load, docker, 4 intellij idea, vscode, fan like a leaf blower . i repeat this on this mbp, temp measured on tg pro is only 52 deg c and it is damn silence!

2 hours drain 75% is quite heavy, but I think it’s normal? considering it’s at on high graphics and 80% brightness…
i think its normal too, maybe he's using high power mode. try to change to windows laptop with rtx3080 graphics, i think you should get about 1hr play time only on battery thought
Seriously impressive. I run dual monitor (2nd 1080p), able to multitask with docker + work + playcover genshin + hitman via windows 11 arm via parallels. i was surprised windows 11 arm actually quite butter smooth.
Below screenshot is quite heavy:

With my heavy current usage i would say i would get around 7hrs battery time from 100-20% Temp hoving around 70-90 degree, fan rpm 2500-3500, ram 28gb used
Edit: base model m14

Base model with 28GB of RAM usage? Swap memory used? Did you felt any slowdown?
oh sorry base model + upgraded to 32gb ram

Mind to share what you do + open in background ?
software dev, developing microservice, 2 brave browser multiple tabs, mongodb client, mysql client, 2/3 intellij ide, windows 11 arm via parallels(to use microsoft visio), sometime play genshin a bit via playcover. at most is see about 30gb+ 5gb swap when i run hitman via windows 11 with all of this + youtube + record desktop obs
This seems like the infamous memory leak issue. There is an update to Monterey 12.1 released today. This release is reported to solve the memory leak issue. Just try to update and see the result.
but I'm already on 12.1 and the memory issue fixed. before this the windows 11 parallel I set 8gb will become 16gb or something

Has anyone updated to 12.1? Any new issue?
iphone bt to mac and vpn single channelling something is still broken based on what i saw on reddit. im using 12.1 and no issue for my usage
Anyone having this ''electric static'' when charging the new MacBook Pro? Any idea how to fix it?

That staff don't seems to know what they are talking about.. see my previous post.
The cable only cost RM99 but out of stock since Oct...
I thought I'm the only one.. I just mod it after read a few dead link forum and drill it. sorry for not recording it properly im so noob, this is save money if anyone want to do it. you need a drill or patience to make hole using hot tiny screwdriver or something to melt the plastic until the earth pin, and then roll and stuck aluminium foil until it "touch" the earth pin, and squeeze it with adapter.
