QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Feb 27 2025, 03:16 PM) up to a certain point even if the whole damn gearbox is filled with grease, you will still have sticky feel if the grinding surfaces between the worm gear and the input gear is stressed until deform or the surface is under very high friction stress and the whole grease film is squeezed away. But by right having plenty of grease should reduce the speed of achieving stickiness. |

Hey guys… this steering rack issue, is this the same problem that is plaguing the Civic only or all Honda models…?
Currently own a City GN and planning to upgrade to Civic. My City has a very soft clicking sound when steering and it’s not always reproducible. Even my old Jazz GE has friction sound on steering when turning. Both cars either Honda SC unable to fix or they refused to fix. If this is the same widespread issue on the Civic then perhaps I might consider another brand instead… |

I used to drive the 10th generation Civic 1.5 TCP. My wife now drives the 11th gen RS version.
What I've noticed is that the fuel consumption seems worse in the new car. I used to average around 11km/L, mostly city driving (so quite a bit of traffic jam daily). She's averaging around 9.0-10.0km/L. Also city driving. Tyres are the same (Michelin PS4). Is this something that's to be expected? |

QUOTE(shaniandras2787 @ Apr 11 2025, 04:59 PM) Yes but I didn't think it would account for such a drastic change in fuel consumption. But the other poster above may be right about driving style and routes. I drive fast, but hardly need to brake when you also anticipate what lies ahead well. So perhaps my wife is different (lol). |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Apr 11 2025, 11:42 PM) Yes but I didn't think it would account for such a drastic change in fuel consumption. Both the 10th and 11th gen using the same hardware based engine of 1.5T L15B7, where the 10th lack of i-vtec system but 11th got it. My theory, they need to put more performance number of hp/Nm for newer model, 180hp, 240nm, hence putting i-vtec make it there, but taking a bit of FC. From my reading at their FB group, many owners complaint for City driving FC about 8.8-10.5km/l (KL area owner with massive jam) but once hit highway can get up to 16-17km/l.But the other poster above may be right about driving style and routes. |

1/2km per litre isn't drastic (you may have over-exaggerated) and i would discount that it is due to driving styles as that would account for more than 1/2km differences. But the other poster above may be right about driving style and routes. I drive fast, but hardly need to brake when you also anticipate what lies ahead well. So perhaps my wife is different (lol). either way, i did a google search and it says the weight difference between the 2 generations is about 20kgs. so assuming that a tank of fuel could give you at least 400km, you are basically lugging additional 20kgs for 400kms and that is ALOT. for example, you'll get wasted faster doing 80kgs barbells for 20 reps than 60kgs for the same reps. QUOTE(ayamxxx @ May 1 2025, 06:07 PM) Im not surprised cz their cheapskate solution. Shared b4 their solution details and disagree if that is the long term solution. Inb4 top up grease By right there is literally no where else in that gearbox to add grease although this raise the question maybe they still manufacturing and using old gearbox which is not 100% filled to the brim. |

Anyone experiencing issues with not able to hear and be heard during a phone call when connected to AA or Bluetooth?
I tried using another phone and the same issue persists. Already tried forgetting the phone and re-pair to no avail |

But I do know that the turbo kick in earlier for 11gen. |
