From experience their Lazada price is jacked up, can get better price at their shop via their salesman.

Not sure if price jacked up but usually they will give u price similar to their lazada price. Then if u really interested to buy u negotiate with them try to get lower and free installation

Yes, originally I went there (I'm from oustation) specifically for the 85X85J, old model that is not available else where... end up look see look see... Bought the 77A80J instead. They quite steady la... originally nego until 19,200 with install and delivery to Melaka. Then they gave further discount when I say another fair in Melaka was doing cheaper laugh.gif . Got free fixed bracket and a hdmi 2.1 certified 2m cable.. forgot what brand was it.

The price that I get when I called in during 12.12 is slightly higher and Lazada also can stack with bonus and credit card. Therefore I felt I dont want to waste my time trying to nego to reach Lazada final price after discount. I also do not have a lot of things to connect, just basically using streaming app most of the time.

My parents used to buy TV and BMB karaoke set since their shop is less than 1KM away from my house. Their service is also pretty good. However, since I was stretching my budget from 3k to 5k to finally buy a midrange TV, I just want to get the cheapest price.

Yes but sometimes the convenience of someone wall mounting a big tv is better than doing it yourself.

Added bonus was also you gain some cash back, which subsequent purchases becomes more worth it. Desa Home was the only shop that has the TV and Denon X3700H which I was looking for... so the TV price I could cut RM580 from the Denon's purchase biggrin.gif.

Nice but I find their home theater prices higher than other shops. they also sell fridge vacumm etc. It's worth checking them out to compare prices

Lucky for me their X3700H was pretty competitive vs the rest, so I ended up getting from them. I think once you have the "cashbacks" their price becomes even more attractive, but I generally will look at Senheng first cause I'm from outstation (ps, Senheng don't carry Denon haha!)

The internal storage size is so small that I had to delete a few apps to install other apps. I'm not sure it is sustainable in the long term. Are there any other solutions to install apps?

Bad design decisions for Sony to save penny on the storage but give tonnes of problem for users.

Thanks for this information. I will need to buy a USB drive which I don't use anymore. sweat.gif
Moreover, not all apps can be moved to USB. Can I retain my current apps on the TV storage, and future apps only install on the USB drive?

I have not tried it myself, based on what I read is that the process will take care of it, ie it will migrate the apps from internal and copy out to the usb thumb drive for you, since practically any external usb thumb drive these day will be big enough to accommodate old apps + new apps.

The only worry is that if the detection of external usb is intermittent ( we do experience that on our pc don't we ? ), it will make the whole thing a painful experience.

Yes, that's my only worry. Hence, I plan to keep my current apps which are heavily used on the internal, only those not so important ones, I wanna shift to external storage.

I don't think there is an available option here, those apps preinstalled will definitely stay inside the internal read-only partition, those user installed ones will be installed on the read-write partition. Now when adding an external storage, it is shifting the entire read-write partition outside to the usb.

This is my guess.

I still think Sony is terribly unwise to have designed such a small internal storage.
