@Kabu

didnt hide la, aiyo. laugh.gif and i am just not master of p4p800x. hahaha....just head8 with this budget mobo. all things limited.

i can oc with sata on for 2 years, but my sata hdd seems like sick already. now running my rig without any sata, ofcoz with oc la.

@busta_dude
what bios ver are you using now?? last time i use 1009 non beta. quite stable. currently using the latest beta. so far no problem.

are you using sata + pata?? or just sata alone?? btw, what psu are you using?? maybe psu not enough juice.

what is your max oc with that 3.2C?? brows.gif gather information for all p4p800x user. so far raymond oced the best, from 2.6->3.3GHz stable no sweat, the best ocerclocker for p4p800x. hohoho........

*take deep breath and shout "raymond!!! where are you hiding~~~!!"
*
kabukiawie,you are looking for me ?laugh.gif That P4P800-X is bad for my RAM because i can't use DDR400 on default as my RAM is just DDR333 only.Anyway i'm using 5:4 divider on it.Currently i'm running on 3.1GHz + only for daily operation,hehe.

QUOTE(busta_dude @ Sep 26 2007, 04:03 PM)
Haha...good sense of humor u guys... thumbup.gif
Bios version?If i'm not mistaken using 1009 from asus site. I use PATA + SATA. PSU i'm currently using is Powerlogic 450W true 900W peak power.This is the surprise I CAN'T OC EVEN A SINGLE MHZ RITE NOW i donno what the hell is going on with my board. Help me~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!
*
The laatest bios that they have is just the version 1009 only.I think must be something wrong already. Inside the bios mode you can select for manual overclocking>?

hmm...perhaps just try plug in another psu and try to see whether the psu you currently using is ok or not. or try change the power socket. Just my 2 cents

Wow, 38.9sec very fast. You can squeeze more on the ram timing i think, maybe making it 2-3-3-8. rclxms.gif
@raymond
Sorry to hear that your grandma passed away. sad.gif Anyway cheer up. As for the 7600GT, i think now Lowyat mostly carry the Winfast model, A7600GT. Intrested eh? tongue.gif
@fylon
I try play with DDR booster before. Yeap, you set the voltage through a potentiometer knob on the module itself. Using it then you will not be able to change the bios VDimm, but not all mobo can sustain till 3.9V. smile.gif
@ac_N1
That is weird, changing new PSU and yet still low. Perhaps power cord issue? hmm.gif
*
Just change my power cord.... This value comes out shakehead.gif Time to find a new mobo i think cry.gif

@busta_dude
Are ur 68GT using NV42 core? If that core then the extra pipeline cannot be unlocked. cry.gif Btw, are u 68GT run on DDR3? brows.gif Might interested.. Gota see this month got how much left 1st!

@kabu
Thanks for ur infomation! laugh.gif Hope my mobo wont got any problem with SATA while OC.

The fastest way, count the pin from the chip. laugh.gif If got enough 478 then means is socket s478, if got 370pin mean is socket A. Hahah.. Jk! Btw, if i not mistaken, u can find a series on code, or know as sSpec on the surface of the procs. And found their spec @ http://processorfinder.intel.com/.

5:4, 1:1 not better than yours. max for 1:1 is 220fsb. 5:4 still can get 240fsb. after testing both, 240fbs @5:4 perform better. tongue.gif
*
@kabukiawie, since u got northwood core P4, it's harder to get thru 3.6Ghz iirc , as the northwood core was design to act like that, but if with extreme cooling, u may get more.
And the main backdraw for your OC, imo, was your mobo northbridge. it holds u from going 250Mhz as the voltage not enuf to feed to NB.

Opss.. blush.gif Sorry! Forgot about sang_karim was running on 5:4 ratio which means his ram was clocked at 133mhz before he start clocking. (correct me if im wrong). Thus running on 3.75Ghz was the proc itself yet not the ram. nless he was running 1:1 ratio then the ram and proc was on par.

@sang

Since when become so hardcore? Haha! But anyways, good to see ur having a good result here. 1:1 ratio at 215fsb has rebooted u? sweat.gif Pity.. Seems like u better keep track at 5:4 in order to hit high speed!
*
@fylon, the OC for sang_karim with 5:4 ratio , his ram was running with 166Mhz not 133Mhz. (if set the ratio to 3:2 then the ram was running 133Mhz)

@sang_karim, if u really into this P4 OC , i have a great ram to offer. i still have a pair of Patriot PDP ram (512X2 pair)
and it's rated with DDR533 (pc4200)@3-4-4-8@2.8V

i manage to get my P4 2.8E to run 1:1 ratio till 3.78Ghz (14*270=3780).
the ram is still with me. if anyone interested pls pm me ok.

i'm now onto AMD for much better ram latency but not that high core clock, but still with
great DDR1 ram, my Corsair 3500LLPRO 2X1GB, which i feed it 2.75V to run 2.75Ghz with my Opty170, with 2.5-3-3-7
(which is PC4400, DDR550 rated) really happy with the ram.

yeah .. i saw too ur ram collection at one thread ... really nice ... if i can spare sum fund i'll let u know ... smile.gif ... i've try run prime test last nite ... follow the instruction u gave .. don raelly understand bout the number that must divide to half?? rclxub.gif when i'm open the upper box contain number 24 and the two box below both number 8 .. i can't put 4 into the two box below coz the lowest it's allowed is 8 .. so i put 12 in there ... when want to run both prime95...only one running .. the other one seem stuck at test 1 only ... but .. unfortunately .... window freeze sweat.gif ... so 3.75GHz is not stable for my rig .. wink.gif .. it means i have to lower the FSB and my ram speed will be below 200MHz ... does it worth to run with lower bandwith or just go with 1:1 divider with 210MHz ram speed? unsure.gif
