QUOTE(Koki @ Apr 30 2011, 04:15 PM) I was wondering if laptops with Nvidia Optimus with Sandy Bridge can be hackintosh'd? Yes , but you can only use nvidia GPU - forget about gpu hybrid switching , etc QUOTE(Suk @ Apr 30 2011, 06:26 PM) INTEL WIFI 4xxx - 5xxx will not works in hackintosh ~~ google "Multibeast" download it and apply the driver accordingly. Ewww tonymac stuff , anyhow , go and get nawcom bootModCD , its easier to use. Tonymac just took people stuff and clunked it alltogether

Does anyone try to EFI-X?
A device that can place it on your motherboard (only for desktop). It can trick you system that thinking itself is a Mac computer. It can run Windows and Mac OS X just like normal Mac computer, including can update the computer freely.

QUOTE(prasys @ Apr 30 2011, 02:34 PM) ISSC chips are not compatible Anyway if you have bought a CSL bluetooth dongle , you may have to bless it fully to apple compatible adapter , read it over at my blog http://prasys.info/2011/04/fixing-csr-bluetooth-in-osx/ISSC stuff does not work (el cheapo china brand bluetooth). If you can find D-link bluetooth adapter (Costs like RM 65) , get that Prasys, I agree with you now. It seems that i cant pair 2 device at the same time, just now i bought magic mouse, and it seems magic mouse always lost connection. Then i remove all paired device and re pair the device, but this time, i pair mm first, and its working fine, until i pair 2 device the apple wireless keyboard, then my mm seems to lost connection. any advise what kext i should use for my csr, i try to use your kext but my product and devide is always 0. so dont know what to do now. need your help. thanks.

izzi, better be careful with OC-ing especially if you're running on your live setup. Your data/filesystem might gets corrupted. Create a new partition, copy your OS to the new partition and experiment it using this so called sandbox. I'm still waiting for the iMac line up today and see if they're going to update it to i7 sandy bridge and will see the cost too. If they're more than my budget, I'm going to build another hackintosh with i7/2600k and overclock it to the max ..

Yeah me too, long time didnt boot to SL since the last update failed on my system. I left SL to rot. Since uphuck is RIP, dunno what is the best distro now. Perhaps we should wait till someone releases the most userfriendly Lion distro just like what uphuck did in the past.

QUOTE(izzi_guy @ May 5 2011, 01:14 PM) ooo..now i know..why i need to use the sandbox??is it to secure my files in my hdd?or what? Sandbox is a term used for a test environment. The bad thing about overclocking while running on your day-to-day system is, if there is problem (KP, sudden reboot, sudden shutdown, etc..), your filesystem might get corrupted. When you got your setup running stable for few days .. you can then move from your sandbox to your normal live system. Just got myself a new casing for my next Hackintosh project, Corsair 600T .. Pure Black HackMacPro in the making.. Apple just released new kernel 10.6.7 which has the Sandy Bridge speedstep support .. yeay.. hopefully will get the rest of the components on Monday..
