QUOTE(danielkong19 @ Nov 18 2010, 08:38 AM) ah where did u get that apple logo!!! i wan one!!
Lol, they are not just logos that you can stick, i actually cut the apple logo shape of back-casing. ( u can either send for laser cutting or drill to do this, the former will be expensive) Then placing with translucent plate to protect the LCD and let the LED backlight of the LCD shines through. Like i said it was time consuming and i failed so many times to get this right on both hardwares and softwares.

Rayod was right, anyone who plan to make a hackintosh must ensure that all hardwares are similar with the real mac.
Then you wont have compatibility problem.
Unless there are tonnes of support in the hackintosh community including the few smart ones that can actually write drivers for it for the incompatible hardware or models.

QUOTE(Bad Cyborg @ Nov 24 2010, 01:37 AM) Crap Compaq with backlit keyboard? How much work (and $$) did you burn on this? But most importantly: after all that intense mod-fu, how much is your Xbench? Yeah the laptop i got it for free, so i guess why not, bought things i need for the mod like the backlite keyboard from PCHub. Not so expensive la, but the time taken to do all that was a lot. My next project is multiboot HTPC when the hackintosh world unleash Lion. Looking for nice casing now. i read the is kernel panic when upgrade to 10.6.5 so i lazy to go through all that now. LOL i think few mactards and avid apple fanboys in LYN are having sleepless nite after countless times reported to the moderators to close this section and nothing happens.
Instead they come here trolling to display their rage and angst.
Seriously i still wonder why this section is allowed while jb is not, where both are illegal.......but i digress.
I think JB and Hackintosh for knowledge and not business are perfectly legal.
You can install anything you like inside your phone or computer and it is your right. But if you sell them and make business out of it then that is wrong.
My 2 cents though.

QUOTE(rainzzz @ May 4 2011, 10:50 PM) Hi All, It's been a while since last time I used hackintosh... last time I used centrino using OSX 10.5.5. Now I'm planning to install again on my pentium dual core, but my wifi use Atheros 925x... any one can make it work....? Yeah me too, long time didnt boot to SL since the last update failed on my system. I left SL to rot. Since uphuck is RIP, dunno what is the best distro now. Perhaps we should wait till someone releases the most userfriendly Lion distro just like what uphuck did in the past.
