Intel has officially announced the release timeline for the Core Ultra 200 series. The formal introduction of the new processors is today October 10th, coinciding with the unveiling of Intel’s new desktop platform featuring the LGA-1851 socket, which replaces the previous LGA-1700 series after three years of use. The market launch of the Core Ultra 200 series is planned for October 24th, thus two weeks after today, aligning with the release of media reviews, this website included.

AMD has moved onto 16 Big Pcores and rumours that 99x0X3D will get Vcache on both CCD, yet Intel still remain 8 Pcores and only increasing the ShitEcores. When will they understand 16 or 24 or 32 or whatever Ecores is useless for games and most apps? Intel been stuck on 8 Pcores since Cometlake like 5 Generations ago!
Moving to chiplet should make it easy to scale up to 10 or 12 Pcores but Intel would rather keep this segment for overpriced Xeon.
New architecture, new process node based on TSMC N3B for the compute tile, this is what you'd normally consider a massive tock, and they can't even beat the 7800X3D which is about to be superseded by the 9800X3D by early November.
It's a fucking disaster for Intel imo lol.

As previously alluded to in my post before this one, Arrow Lake is a disaster for gaming
And here's the money shot, absolutely bottom tier performance in Cyberpunk 2077 kekw
AMD has carte blanche to sell the 9800X3D for 500++ USD and get away with it now, heck the 7800X3Ds are already going for at least 450 to 480 USD if you can even find them. They are mostly out of stock already lol.

it is just sad that intel did not provide a good cpu this generation to compete with AMD. the pricing for the new 9800x3d must be through the roof later.
I won't say horrible la, price to performance compared to 7700X for example it's just slightly behind.
Also I won't say it's the best gaming CPU but definitely it's best at pushing FPS and also disrupting AMD's own sales of many models.
It is really horrible, multithreaded performance is slightly better than 14400f, that is rm735 while 7800x3d is like rm1900. The best balanced cpu is still intel but the k series 14th gen is plagued with the instability issues.
AMD really you have to pick between non x3d and x3d. That's why I said hopefully 7900x3d and 7950x3d can do well gaming vs 7800x3d so we can have a cpu that is good at both.

285k min fps is 24fps in Guardians of the Galaxy.
That's slower than a PoS4 and xbone running the same game. I thought this was an error because this review from OC3D was leaked early, but turns out it's not.

Looks like some kind of scheduling issues perhaps? The 9600X seems to exhibit something similar

Arrow Lake in a nutshell:
1. Poor gaming performance, even compared to the 5700/5800X3D (the latter is on a much cheaper platform) 2. Not very efficient 3. High prices, especially cost of entry to the platform 4. No or very little upgrade path for future CPUs 5. Requires very expensive RAM (DDR5 7200/8200) to perform adequately 6. Despite being made on a superior process node (TSMC N3) and is several nodes ahead of Intel's 10nm it has little improvements in performance and efficiency 7. Potential stability issues 8. Made using very expensive tech like Foveros, which renders price cuts very difficult
The only saving grace? Its iGPU, but that's a moot point if you are looking for iGPU performance
