Papanic, playing with a band, i'd get more than 60 watts if u have resources to get it. Hard hitting drummers and out of control guitarists will drown out the bass. Plus even if u could hear the bass its gonna have crappy tone and i'd bet the amp is already clipping past its limits, which is ok if its a tube but i dun think dats the case here. haha.
But in the end its all about control lar, just ask the rest of the fellers to soften down. Get moon gel for ur drummer. Coz if everyones blasting, u gonna have another problem, cant hear the vocals. Hahaha... Foogie, get new strings for BOTB finals man!!! Wooho!!!! |

most here would probably recommend SX. As for me, i had a noname bass for my first bass and it served me well enough. As a beginner all you really need is a piece of wood with 4 strings strung up that is capable of making some noise. Try 2nd hand battered up basses. They'll be more than good enough.

While Bassix makes a point, here's my take ... do you really want to buy a RM200 battered bass that has been through who knows what? Check out any jamming studio that's been around for at least 5 years, and take a look at the studio bass ... .lol ...
On the other hand, if you spend around RM400-500 for a new SX or Hofma or Pyramid, you get the chance to thrash and abuse it on a clean slate ... lol .... |
