if your bass has no passive option, then you have to replace the preamp ... best to get it checked by a technician ... what bass is this?

im using a B2.1u currentli honestli its addictive....
it adds color to ur bass tone... since my bass tone is very dry...the effect pedal make it reali wet and i cant liv without the pedal now... n the drum machine is a bonus
gt mine at rm500 may b u can get the B2 cheaper

effects are nice to play around and experiment with. Samplers are a waste of money unless the basic tone is already good. Then a sampler enhances the sound if you tune it properly. If your base tone is crappy, then a sampler won't do much to help. Anyway, as a beginner there's really no big risk as long as you keep getting the cheapest stuff possible. There's always a price to be paid until you learn enough to decide what you need and what you dont and also until you train your ear up to listen for what is good and what is not. The ampworks looks like a pretty decent buy for 250. Samplers and effects to play around with. Although i doubt it would do wonders for you. Like everything else, you have to pay a fortune for good tone

If you're looking for funky oldies , listen to brickhouse by the commodores. And yes the singer is lionel richie. I wouldn't have believed it at first either.
