Although i haven't tried out the walkabout before. I have tried their powerhouse lines of cabs though through my strategy. That will literally blow you away. laugh.gif

8.3k is way too pricey. Considering it's a hybrid, 5k would already be pushing it.

Well, that's mesa for you. It's all in the name tongue.gif

What about the Big Block, M-Pulse and the Bass 400+ ? hmm.gif

How different they sound? What made you choose the walkabout over these?

I have no idea how different they sound ... if you check my earlier posts, i said i took the walkabout for review ... and because it was the easiest to carry back!!!

the bass 400+ weighs about 20++kg. Almost the same as the strategy 400.

In terms of sound, it's crunch cannot compare to an ampeg. But clean is nice warm and fuzzy if you turn the gain slightly up.

oh, dear! u may have shorted the preamp, blowing it ... it's important to remember that these preamps work on the battery's DC output, so positive to positive and negative to negative ... on a much bigger scale, imagine connecting the red and black terminals of your car battery in reverse!
