30mbps plan with be 30mbps download and upload

If you are porting to Maxis, no need to pay for any installation fees as it will use your existing fibre and ONU.

Just to share an update regarding this, I called TM and they gave me 2 options:
- replace the current router without contract = pay RM 200+ for a new TP Link router (didn't ask which model)
- replace the current router with 3 years contract, the same router, pay RM 50+

In the end, after consulting my friend and considering my house 3 story, I bought deco x50

Hello all,

Currently on Unifi 100 Mbps plan RM129. Contract over.
Thinking to act/fake port out to Maxis to force Unifi to offer me SWU package.

My question will be :

1. If i apply for Maxis broadband subscription (which also port out right), will Unifi call me to offer a better package ?

2. If no, can i just cancel the Maxis port out if i to remain on Unifi ?

Not sure on how much of a speed boost but the intention is to convert customers to higher speed plans

Basically say you are on 100Mbps right now

They give you free speed boost to 300Mbps for a month

The month goes by, you get addicted to the higher speeds
Then they call you, ask you like or not, maybe offer special plan to keep it at 300

You say yes, then they have successfully made you upgrade your plan, they earn a bit more.

NOT a chance for that to happen. Malaysia freezes over head to toe before that can potentially happen.

You upgrade? Reset contract period.
You downgrade? Reset contract period.
You ask to replace hardware? Reset contract period.

1. They will, after submitting port out request they'll call you and counter offer

2. Yes, just tell them you're grabbing the new contract instead of port out

Going Maxis to register for new promo on 300Mbps at same price am paying unifi. Then maybe TM call back offer same to retain but extended contract should be ok 🤣

Someone got no offer at all previously when Unifi went straight to agreed port out. You must be steady. If port out to Maxis, you won't lose any since can get better rebate.

I went to Maxis center today to ask them if there is any promotion sign up for port out from Unify, but the lady told me I gotta wait for Maxis marketing office to call me in order to get any special rate other than the plans displayed on the website. sad.gif

1. Yes and no, depending on your luck. Sometimes TM will just straight approve your port out, no question asked.
2. Yes you can cancel.

Go check out 1 or 2 pages above, as well as check out the Maxis Tered. This promo must apply through agent.

Similar like mine... from Jaring to ISDN to Streamyx to Unifi (5M to 800M too), but downgrade to 100M in 2019, paying too much, underutilised, now sticking to 300M, same price as 100M. And still underutilised sweat.gif biggrin.gif
