I noticed that in my Firefox settings, the Enable DNS over HTTPS was not ticked. After ticking, and with DNS as Cloudflare one, now can work.

But Chrome still cannot.

I would suggest removing the stock router and using only the deco as the router + mesh.

You can use that deco mesh as your router,

If you know your unifi login ID and password, you able use Deco as router.

I don't know why but Unifi's default instructions for mesh is to connect it to the stock router and broadcast yet another wifi that will compete with your stock router (they literally tell you to forget the stock router wifi, doesn't even tell you to disable it) while also creating a double NAT

The better way is to just remove the stock router, and make one of the Deco nodes a router. More control, less back doors.

1) Stock Router / own router -> Mesh (Access point mode)
or
2) Mesh (Router mode), no longer using stock router.

If you have powerful own router like Mikrotik then option 1 is better. Else option 2 will do.

Not sure on how much of a speed boost but the intention is to convert customers to higher speed plans

Basically say you are on 100Mbps right now

They give you free speed boost to 300Mbps for a month

The month goes by, you get addicted to the higher speeds
Then they call you, ask you like or not, maybe offer special plan to keep it at 300

You say yes, then they have successfully made you upgrade your plan, they earn a bit more.

NOT a chance for that to happen. Malaysia freezes over head to toe before that can potentially happen.

You upgrade? Reset contract period.
You downgrade? Reset contract period.
You ask to replace hardware? Reset contract period.
You negotiate promotional offer? Reset contract period.

You touch TM's subscription? Reset contract period.
