Hello! Is anyone experiencing a major lag in tiktok thumbnail loadings? Videos load fine but I don’t know what I’m clicking on because it’s just a blank white page lol

Ipv6 didn’t fix it

I’m using cloud flare dns

Is there anything I can try ?

Try changing to Google DNS,
Tik Tok is using akamai to serve its contents,

Akamai mainly relies on EDNS client subnet for optimized node.
Cloudflare DNS didn't support this feature thus Akamai IP may resolved to Singapore or oversea IP instead of local Akamai node.

TM so pro sia...
Today add one more host involved on network congestion issue.
AlibabaCloud Singapore.

I am not getting any high spikes / latency to SG servers anymore. Maybe TM fixed something ?

Wait another 15min and know,because some of them will start at about 8.45pm.
But i can confim additional host start having issue today by fixing partial network.

mine started around 8.24pm

depends of the host and peering network node.
Sad on my OVH SG,still having problem every night even though Equinix sg and Telstra Global sg also fixed...

does OVH reply on you about TM issue?

So far nope.


But i think if other pipe is fix,and next week if all normal again,then i guess OVH will also contact TM to optimize it.
If not,i am going to reply to OVH and attach the picture of other pipe of Equinix SG to Unifi is stable now ,and ask them try to fix with TM.

With total lockdown just announced, more people are gonna stay at home.
Which means network usage is going to increase, again.

Wonder how that's gonna affect Unifi.

yeah i saw their OVH map their 200Gbps usage only at 45-55% at peak hours impossible is their issue.


TM have 2x100Gbps via HE.net SG / 200Gbps via Equinix SG / 20Gbps via SGIX still losing out to others operator

So far i think not a big issue,becuase now everyone already at home so long time.
Even network usage increase also more then past few days somemore only.
But certain area might having issue,example some residential area having too many user then that might be a problem.

unless they increase their throughput x2.

Yeah mine still fine to SG so far, after 1 hour in.

Usually 8:30 start lagging

Maybe I complained many times lol

So far today most equinix sg connection fix already.haha.

I remember the first few weeks of MCO. The connection between my office and my house was so bad that I subscribed to TIME there and then. But then they forbade installers to do installation, so it was a few months where I was stuck with really slow international speed, especially during the night

Oh, can install TM and TIME in the same house? Interesting.

quite impossible, because usually the building management only provides one fiber port to each condo/apartment house.
even though the condo/apartment has more than one Infra/ISP
Unless there is more than one port, that is not a problem
