Guyz how to make unifi come my home.they extend infra near my home 1.5km from school (where there has fiber)
Salesman come to our kampung for survey then went silent(1.5years ago)went tm already to be on the demand list and yet im still waiting is there anything i can do?

Refer to the first page of the thread, write a complaint letter to SKMM. Then look up this company "https://www.citybroadband.my/" to request for fibre broadband coverage at your residential address. This hopefully would whip TM into action with the appearance of a competitor. In my case, TM did roll out their unifi service in record time, when city broadband started building their fiber optic infrastructure in my hometown.

Currently using tm.rm139 plan since 2 years ago. Once contract over they increase to rm209. Instead offering me something to keep me. They said it was promo.. sounded ridiculous.

CAT5e vs. CAT6 Bandwidth
Both CAT5e and CAT6 can handle speeds of up to 1000 Mbps, or a Gigabit per second. This is more than sufficient for the speed of by far the most internet connections. The chance is small that you currently have an internet connection with which you can achieve up to 500 Mbps speed.

The main difference between CAT5e and CAT6 cable lies within the bandwidth, the cable can support for data transfer. CAT6 cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz, compared to 100 Mhz for CAT5e. This means that a CAT6 cable can process more data at the same time. Think of it as the difference between a 2- and a 4-lane highway. On both you can drive the same speed, but a 4-lane highway can handle much more traffic at the same time.

A good CAT 5E eg Dintek can even run 10 gbps for short distance. But no reason to get CAT 5E nowadays, as you may actually get 100 mbps CAT 5 cables if bought online. Better buy CAT 6 cables, no problem for 1 gbps or even 10 gbps.

Mine also replied like this when I reported to MCMC last year. They said that the infrastructure will be available in March 2021. Around November, I already saw they started pulling Fibre to the pole and last week, all DP's are already up on the pole in my taman. Now, it's waiting for activation. The contractor said that everyone can use it within next month. That's a good news. So, probably yours will be like that too. Keep an eye on your telephone pole.

I have try admin,admin1234 and also the password behind the router but to no avail. Is it the installer change the password? Do i need to contact them. Or i just can hard reset the router?

Buy Prolink blue color cat6 cable from shopee.

Some seller from shopee didn't mention prolink brand , don't buy
from them.

Pakai CAT 6. Brands like UGREEN, Dintek, D-Link, Prolink is good. I personally using CAT 7 from UGREEN for my wired devices.

Looks like TM now providing Archer C6 routers now but from the outside of the box looks like stock TP-LINK router now. Got this photo from my friend who just subscribed to Unifi 30Mbps after MCMC report for him since he waited for 2 months to get Unifi eventhough port is not too far from his apartment.

depending on the stock available in each area,

NETIS DL4480V (Unifi firmware)
AZtech DS244WSGV (Unifi firmware)
TP-LINK Archer C1200 (Unifi firmware)
D-LINK DIR-842 (Unifi firmware)

but there are some new users will get this type of router due to the lack of unifi router

D-LINK DIR-842 (D-Link firmware)
D-LINK Covr-1100 (D-Link firmware)
TP-LINK Archer C6 (TP-Link firmware)

I use white CAT 6 flat cables from 20 cm to 5m, bought from SubTel Shopee. Easy to bend and look nice too.
