I noticed that Ikea Markus got the RM499 and RM549 one.
The difference is the seating cushion right?

Which one do you guys recommend?

Really up to you, the 499 one is somewhat popular thx to not pv leather peeling off and less heat.

Also pls make sure your height at least 170 or even 175cm.

Markus tall only more comfy

One is leather and another is cushion. The leather one you can also just buy additional cushion to sit on also.

Oh no I didn’t! You don’t like the adjustable lumbar support? I find that to be one of the hugest selling points of the chair tbh xD The headrest no way that thing is a disaster… Got us a few laughs and was an interesting networking opportunity though!

Honestly my Steelcase purchase was unique all the way through - bought the thing, GDEX stole the chair that was supposed to be shipped to me (or lost it along the way) despite the fact that I paid close to 200 in shipping (which shows you just how valuable the free shipping promo is), and ELY actually sent me a new one because I put on my angry customer face and demanded that they send by the date itself, so they basically sucked it up and sent one via Lalamove, then came the headrest issue.

I’m probably their most problematic customer to date, so if ever you want to talk to any of the ELY people, you can ask them about my strange tale and they’ll know what’s up 👌

I didn't mind the adjustable lumbar support but many reviewers said that the chair was more comfortable without it. So I took the trouble removing it to see what it'd be like. I liked it so much that I will not put the lumbar support back in. thumbup.gif

This one I agree. Markus is only comfortable for tall people.
I really didn't like it one bit when I had it. I am only 159CM so yeah.

Did you manage to try out the chair?

I finally got my exchange and everything is working out so far. But I do think that getting a headrest will definitely make the overall experience much more pleasant and comfortable.

Not so soon, quite troublesome to cross state at this period of time.

Guess Ikea Markus isn't for me as I am just slightly over 160cm, guess my head won't touch the headrest.

I heard mixed reviews saying Gaming Chair is good, or isn't good. What's the general consensus here

My budget is between RM400 to RM800

I actually just bought this (link below), but after one week, the cushion flattens if I sit longer than 20 mins, and I need to move my butt for it to be comfortable. I am thin anyway (50kg) and it has this problem

Rm 400 chair

I’m about 164cm, my head isn’t on the headrest. General sentiments here is pretty mixed, likely height issue.

I guess perhaps the usual merryfair or the other brand ?

Unless you don’t mind going for used.

Honestly have yet to see someone heavily recommend a 400-800 new.
Though, it’s surprising hbada is that bad ? I heard it was decent. Damn.

if you are in no hurry, then just wait and go to showrooms to test the chairs.
I think Merry Fair and Alterseat should be in your range.

I'm considering a few full mesh options with budget around rm1k++:

1. Alterseat cg-700 - can't find any reviews online. Only sold one unit at lazada so far. Read some comments in the previous pages that the height is a bit low. I'm above 180cm.
2. Sihoo M57 - concern about warranty as the seller is from China.
3. Merryfair wau. Watched some overseas YouTuber reviews, the head rest and arm rest adjustments look quite fragile.

Anyone is using merryfair wau? Is the quality solid and lasting?

Appreciate any feedback please.

Planning to buy Sihoo M57 without the leg rest from taobao. Sihoo Flagship store products are more expensive than some of the shops who claim that they sell factory direct outlet products. Any thought on this?

Other than that, black mesh is cheaper than grey mesh. If i buy grey mesh, kinda worried that the chair will get visually dirty real quick. Better all black, cant see, then i wont know it is dirty, am i right?  tongue.gif

If buy from factory direct outlet shop and ship to Malaysia using 3rd party logistic, total cost is less than RM650.

do you already buy the chair?

In the next couple of months I'm hoping to make a couple of ergonomic investments for chair and tables, so thinking of some advise.

For context, in one of my previous jobs I've seated on a Leap, and whew - it is too good. If I was rich I would've gotten a Leap for myself easy, but unfortunately I've never been fortunate enough to find myself with the timing where a Leap is available for a good price.

I've tried Hermen Miller ( at showrooms ) and I think another one - but for the ones I tried they felt cramp. I know that the best decision should still be made after trying it out yourself, but in context of sifus here who have tried out many chairs, I was wondering that for someone looking for a similar ergonomic "vibe" to the Leap, and at a budget of the 1.5-2k range, curious what are the options out there.

So basically:
- similar to the Leap in terms of size/dimension of cushion, overall feel ( if possible )
- 1.5-2k budget
- headrest preferable but not required
- decent warranty
- 2nd-hand ok, so long as warranty transferable.

So far, looking at carrousel/lazada/shopee, the ones that seems to be best fit are...

1. Steelcase Series 2 from ELY
2. Steelcase Think v2 from ELY
3. Haworth Zody (2nd hand) from Carrousel

Any other recommendations or thoughts on what is good fit?

I checked jimotty Japan and one being sold for 9800 yen.

Don't think I can find them in Hard Off.

New one is almost RM6,000! More expensive than my PC and GPU biggrin.gif

Herman miller have 3 difference sizes, A,B,C likely you've tried B, perhaps you can give C a try. It's meant for huge people tho.

Zody, if you want cheaper perhaps Haworth Easy, not as good for sure, but it's 380 only. If you're lucky you can snag a Zody at 380 as well.

Bruh, shipping, customs, is a pain ! If Malaysia is more transparent in their "Customs" it'll be less of a problem I think. I heard they charge according to using their own price sometimes.
