I just received my headrest and just fixed it on my chair. It looks great! I love the customisation, adjust up down, in and out. Quality is amazing so far, as good as the chair itself. I will have to customise it more to find a sweet spot though.
I bought from the seller below, very responsive and patient to all your enquiries. Had to pay deposit and waited for about one week before it arrived.
It's better try in the showroom before buying such an expensive chair. That sort of highly curved back will only suit certain people. If your body type isn't suitable you will find it very uncomfortable.

suppose to be a surprise for my wife.
will visit the showroom and get a feel of it.
any suggestion besides these two Steelcase and HM?

Yes i agree. Also do more research on it, especially Steelcase is also about RM4K. Steelcase Gesture even for people in living in 4 seasons complain that it's a very warm chair. Unless you can constantly maintain your room temperature about 25 degrees and below. Also Steelcase Gesture is more suitable for taller people. Please read them up yeah.
yeah i saw that too. but 5k without head rest is really way out of my budget.
i started with 1.2k then as i read it make sense to get a really good one. after all will be sitting on it close to 12 hours a day so i guess my max budget is maybe 4.2k. that same as my mattress.. lol

How about the Merryfair Tune? It's very adjustable for RM1100. I'm sure your wife can find a good position.
Note: I haven't purchased this yet, just considering.
just saw the video... look tantalizing. a lot can be adjusted and price i very wallet friendly... thanks for the recommendation.. will have a serious look
Just to keep everyone here updated about Merryfair status. Seems like they will continue the production on next Monday. Hopefully everything will be smooth for them.

I would highly recommend the steelcase leap instead of gesture, dont get the headrest (its rlly bad), suits shorter people as well, extra lumber would be optional imo (i bought it and found that removing it was better, only rm few hundred diff so you can buy and test or try in showroom)
As for the debate on headrests, there's a reason why herman miller themselves dont make headrests for their office chairs (aeron, embody), this is because when your sitting upright, a good ergo chair shouldnt need a headrest because naturally when your upright, your head can be supported comfortably by your body. A headrest is only need when your reclining for long periods, coz your head is off axis from your body. However, if youre working, you (in theory) should not need to recline for long periods anyways.
