Congratulations!  Enjoy your Aeron, and good news that they're replacing the faulty unit.

Of course they have to right. If I use it for a month or a week then it spoils, then have to claim warranty. This one should be 1 to 1 exchange, it’s only fair. It just came out of the box!

But yes even though it’s stuck on tilt forward position right now, I often forget that I’m actually sitting. It’s really good. Can’t wait for the exchange to come, but they said it would be next week cause they don’t have enough manpower due to MCO.

I may be mistaken, and please correct me if I am, but I recall that the warranty starts ticking as soon as the chair is taken out of the box, so that would be a reason for them not to inspect the chair before sending it out from storage.  That was the reason given to me at Trax when I asked if I could buy a showroom unit.  They said it's not for sale, and the warranty would be shorter because it's already out of the box.  I wanted to take one home as soon as I sat on it, hahaha. 🤣

Yes the guy who came and checked on the chair, commented something like this. That they try not take too many stocks as well cause the warranty starts running the moment it reaches here or something.

I’m starting to get anxious, because I have to wait until next week for them to arrange the exchange. They will exchange right? I mean they already said so and they are authorised dealers also, dealing with multiple high end brands in their company……

Another Q: how many of you bought RM1k+ chair without testing it first? My dilemma now is whether to wait to test the above chairs before buying them (seems like a smart thing to do considering the price)
Any comments, ie what other considerations: warranties, personal xp etc?

Thanks!

I want to throw shade at Second Hand Group (SHG) 012 7866653 which can be found on Carousell selling second hand Steelcase Let's B.

I contacted them THREE weeks ago (First replied me on 1/8 and today is 21/8). I'm stationed at East Malaysia, so I asked them to ship the chair via sea freight to my place. I even told them I will bear ALL the handling fees and of course the shipping fee, but they as the SELLER have to find out how much all the charges add up. Oh, I also suggested JnT sea freight and provided assembled chair dimensions. All the company had to do was going to JnT with a picture of the chair, the dimensions and asked JnT if it's doable to ship the ~25kg chair. What a s**t experience trying to buy a chair with such business practice.

If really can't ship, just tell early la. Kept brushing me off and giving empty promises that will inquire Jnt asap. If understaff or got covid cases at factory, just inform 'sorry cant close deal'. As a customer, I only want to know if I can buy the chair or not, a yes or a no. Waste my time only when I could have bought another chair and had it shipped to me within this 3 weeks. bangwall.gif mad.gif ranting.gif

Heed my warning before dealing with them. Who knows what might happen.

I was considering Gesture too but based on my research, it’s a super hot chair. Like it gets really warm unless your room temperature is always around 25 Celsius or below.

Do anyone that purchases from Merryfair have heard any news from them? The last time I contacted them 11/8 they said that their factory have positive covid cases and they will close it for a few days.

I just wanted to get a rough estimation from people that have bought here whether they do any shipment within this few months. Because I read from the thread some people wait for more than 1-2 months sad.gif

I was thinking whether I should just cancel my order and try to buy this one instead because from what I see the features and design is not that far from Anggun.

Did they send you their catalog? Website has nothing, but they sent it to me using WhatsApp. If you're looking for info about the chairs themselves, check out the Btod YouTube channel. Lots of great info there, including comparisons with the Aeron, etc.

chair arrived, took about 10 mins to install (will be a bit hard if you have no strength because the seat is heavy)
feels great so far, seems like very low risk of having my butt busted by the gas cylinders

chair was rm1327, delivery via taobao itself was rm146
bought on 2nd august, got it on 16th august

its pretty easy if you pay through the app, although i hear 3rd party forwarders are cheaper

user posted image

1 -> ship via sea
2 -> ship via air
3 -> payment method

if you use either 1 or 2, there'll be an additional step where you gotta pay after the merchant shipment successfully reaches taobao's warehouse

alternatively you can try ezbuy for english experience, i tried with the product link its not that much expensive https://tinyurl.com/sihoov1

if you need help you can pm me but no 24/7 support biggrin.gif
