I saw the 6.1k but do we know if it’s fully loaded? Any idea on the caster as well? The information is a quite vague.

I might just take the plunge to start my own spree. 😍

Can't tell whether it full loaded, but the it stated BB type of casters (carpet type).

Trax furniture! I’m still looking out for an affiliate partnership with these dudes (at least five people have bought Aerons after viewing my videos) but it ain’t happening yet - still gotta see what I can hustle up 😭

They just opened up for showroom viewings though!

Headrest this I don’t really know - I got one Suspension one already and it’s been my workhorse for the longest time (am waiting for cushion). I think it was about 800? They included a hundred something for the tax plus delivery I guess.

Hope you get that affiliate partnership, so can we get more discount rclxms.gif

I bought ttracing on lazada. Very long shipping time. They use lousy courier, lineclearexpress. I haven't received the item but they fake it by saying it is delivered. The item arrived a week after is is delivered. The chair have no lumbar support and quite fatigue to use for long hour. My car have better seat lmao and it is a proton.

Yo!!! I do actually have a small Facebook group for ergonomic chairs in Malaysia/Singapore - would you be interested to join? Will probably coordinate group buy if anyone’s interested and as more people join then it should be a bit easier smile.gif

https://www.facebook.com/groups/976890436434037/

If it’s Steelcase I think they’re a bit more amenable at the moment (they sent someone to my house to do an ergonomic consulting because of one messed up part lol) - Trax is a bit more sombong temporarily; I actually also wrote a long email to Herman Miller asking them to extend their affiliates program to Malaysia and would jump at this in a heartbeat if it could happen xD

You are correct that I would receive a commission!
I would use that to grow my channel (as I do now - may do a Secretlab chair giveaway soon!)

But it’s also true that you may be able to get a discount. If you coordinate a group buy, you do have more bargaining power with the company to get a lower rate for each individual chair. It’s like for example for corporate orders for Steelcase Leap, we can get each chair for much less than say the $1000 unit cost that the chair is sold at internationally because the procurement results in a higher total profit relative to selling individually.

Depends lah - some companies will just say that oh our product sells itself… but others appreciate the value of capturing consumer surplus and offer lower pricing when you do bulk orders. Win win situation, I’d think!

Hi all,

did more comparison between alterseat CG-700 (RM1100) or CG-007 (RM820). Between this 2, would prefer CG-700 due to full mesh cos sitting in non-ac room.

Also looked at Merryfair, looking specifically at Fulkrum (RM960) or Tune (RM1110) - both are fabric cushion seats. 1 key difference i see between Alterseat and Merryfair is the seat adjustment, but not sure if that's a key aspect for me.

Ultimately i cant test in person before buying due to MCO. Personally, inclined to get Merryfair- Tune due to the various adjustability mechanism. Bad point for me would be the fabric cushion, but not really sure if it would be as hot as people claim in non-ac room. Second choice if Alterseat CG-700 due to the Mesh seat.

Hence, highly appreciate all of your feedbacks, whoever are using it currently. Looking to purchase within the next days.
Thanks alot all!

I bought the Tune chair with 10% discount on 1st June, still waiting for them to send me the chair kek. Recently they updated me saying their factory got covid so will delay again.

Planning to get a chair for my wife. However she is petite in size, around 152cm.
I got Merryfair Anggun for her last time but the chair depth is too deep for her.

Any suggestions?

Perhaps you can try let’s B but it’s used, pretty small and adjustable seat depth iinm, go watch the YouTube adjustability.

Or you can get a new one which costs a bomb?

Long term Markus user.

I am unfortunately not tall enough to fit the ergonomic of this chair.
So in order for a proper height , I need a little leg rest so my leg is not hanging ( recommended to get some leg rest if you need some height to match the table, even stool work)
The Mesh back and recline angle work well. It hold up for me over 10 year+ maybe.
The seat cushion give way after awhile 5 year or so ? You could repair it DIY by buying foam and reassemble them , but I am lazy to do it.
The Base, pump and spring is actually pretty good, heavy and still not giving way , except for the spinning wheel in the hydraulic pump (grindy sound).
The wheel after 9 year or so, start to pick up dirt. My hard flood is fine with the wheel, if you need replacement however , ikea caster dimension is a little different from others, but you could still upgrade it (just go shopee).
The leather is peeling here and there abit , just a little speckle not as terrible as some gaming chair , imagine like acne spot, haha .
It does get warm a little on the leg sometime , but I change my position usually , fold my leg , put both my leg up , sit at a side etc. Combination of aircon and room temp uses, just give it a wipe for normal maintenance.
The Armrest feel ok, but get in the way if you try to sit closer for better arm position and its not adjustable. However the armrest wasn't always use when my hair is on table.

Oh cool! i still cant decide which to get, between Alterseat and Merryfair. Thing is both also not open due to MCO. Need that 'push' from someone who are using it to personally tell me if it's legit worth it or not.

Hopefully someone here can shed some light haha!

Read through all 32 pages in 3 hours (including the posts, videos, specs etc)

I am using Markus now but the seat is cracked/tear (changed the seat once, the new one didn't last more than 2 yrs)

My new purchase, main requirement is to be fully mesh (back and bottom), ergonomic and wide (like Markus: so I can sit with my legs up)

Personally I am thinking of the following model (all seems wide enough, have mesh, "ergonomic enough"):
1) CG700 Alterseat
-> no review! why? -i think this one cost wise is ideal, has most of what i looking for. (not sure if the fix reclining is an issue or not for me and if the lumbar thingy is relatively good compare to others below)
2) ErgoPro Evis
-> seems pricy relative to other competitors here.
3) ErgoHuman AMOffice
-> this one seems like mixed review, so I can't be certain about this
4) Wau Merryfair
-> looks ok, just not sure about the plasticky parts.

I wouldn't mind spending more for Herman Miller but I don't think it is necessary. Also note that it is interesting that no reviews on CG700 Alterseat and Takeaseat chairs

Another Q: how many of you bought RM1k+ chair without testing it first? My dilemma now is whether to wait to test the above chairs before buying them (seems like a smart thing to do considering the price)

Any comments, ie what other considerations: warranties, personal xp etc?

Thanks!

Haha! Bro - think we’re on the same boat, also looking at alterseat (curious why no legit reviews here, or even on YouTube) and merryfair Wau also attracts me, but Tune seems like a more value for money choice.

Hoping for some comments as well before deciding. Also to note the current covid situation, both alterseat and merry fair may face some delays.

Evis ErgoPro is a rebrand of Sihoo V1. If you can get your hands on Sihoo V1 you can save a lot and its basically the same chair. Its a really good chair but not worth paying Evis price

There's 2 ways to get the chair that I know of

i) cheapest method would be to buy directly from Taobao. The chair itself should cost only around RM1.2k, and shipping itself may cost around RM150 - 300+ depending if you use taobao own shipping or 3rd party shipping. Drawbacks to this is warranty claiming, would be a hassle if you are unlucky. But I've read a post here saying Sihoo would send a replacement (or parts replacement) if the chair is faulty upon delivery.

ii) another way is through local seller/importer. Less hassle and worries regarding shipping, higher price than above but still cheaper than Evis. One seller I found on shopee

https://shopee.com.my/product/448264095/105...91-1629219197.9

Alternatively if you want full mesh seat on a budget.... there's Sihoo M57. Able to get for less than 1k.

Long term lurker here. Finally got myself a proper ergonomic chair in the Steelcase Series 2 last month. This is an option that fit my budget ( <RM2k ) and I wanted something with a breathable back and a solid built that lasts. I was initially looking at the ergohuman, but had concerns that the mesh might sag after years of use.

Coming from a 5 year old Ikea Markus, I feel that the seat cushion is firmer and less plush-like but not "hard". My Markus cushion started sinking after 5 years of use causing some tailbone and lower back pain ( I sit alot for work ) . So this is a welcomed improvement in support. Build quality is rock solid and the armrests are a clear step up. The flexible back support hugs my back properly and adapts so that I'm supported throughout the work day. Took me a few days to adjust my posture to the new chair but after I adapted I can't go back. I miss the Markus's tilt lock mechanism for lounging and relaxing tho. Series 2 has no tilt lock.

The Markus for the price is an overall good budget chair and all the mechanisms held up the past 5 years. Ergonomically, its not too bad either but you need to be a tall person to fit else you'll have a hard time. Watch out for the seat cushion if you are a heavy user.

All in all satisfied with my upgrade and just want to share my experience smile.gif
