any recommendation for full mesh (including the base) ergonomic chair? Budget ideally not more than 1k, but slightly over I'm still ok with it.

I'm 178 cm but my frame is not that big

Anyone here tried this?

Sorry, wasn't meant as a bad impression of Chinese quality. I mean perhaps you can narrow down which brand it comes from and get reviews from there.

Any good Chinese OEM brands?

The only one I know is Sitzone

That same one in Carousell.
The used condition is pretty good in my case la.
I only know Sihoo.

Ok I might give Sitzone a try

Reviews from Taobao seems good

Because my criteria is full mesh within a budget. Seems like they're the only one offering that. Otherwise have to go upwards to 2k+ for Ergohuman

anyone who had tried Sihoo M57... is it worth getting the variant with footrest?

btw not really a pro with shopping on taobao... what does it mean by third party courier? Meaning not the default courier provided by the shop?

Because I tried checking out a Sihoo M57 on taobao, the postage is like 17 RMB? But I've seen some here who said using third party will cost up to RM200

I've tried the M57, but my version is without footrest. I got it for under RM800. At that price, I personally think that it has the best price/value ratio among the other ergonomic chairs out there.

I like how it's full mesh, so it's more cooling. Especially with the hot weather these past few weeks, haha.
RMB17 is actually the starting price for consolidated shipping through sea. You'll need to refer to the pricing table to get a proper estimate of the cost.

Third party courier/forwarding agents basically help you ship your products to Malaysia. Sometimes people go with them because they offer cheaper shipping/ more flexible arrangements.

These are some of the forwarding agents I found when researching how to get my chair to Malaysia.

QUOTE(JOEYK86 @ Aug 18 2021, 12:30 AM)
Read through all 32 pages in 3 hours (including the posts, videos, specs etc)

I am using Markus now but the seat is cracked/tear (changed the seat once, the new one didn't last more than 2 yrs)

My new purchase, main requirement is to be fully mesh (back and bottom), ergonomic and wide (like Markus: so I can sit with my legs up)

Personally I am thinking of the following model (all seems wide enough, have mesh, "ergonomic enough"):
1) CG700 Alterseat
-> no review! why? -i think this one cost wise is ideal, has most of what i looking for. (not sure if the fix reclining is an issue or not for me and if the lumbar thingy is relatively good compare to others below)
2) ErgoPro Evis
-> seems pricy relative to other competitors here.
3) ErgoHuman AMOffice
-> this one seems like mixed review, so I can't be certain about this
4) Wau Merryfair
-> looks ok, just not sure about the plasticky parts.

I wouldn't mind spending more for Herman Miller but I don't think it is necessary. Also note that it is interesting that no reviews on CG700 Alterseat and Takeaseat chairs

Another Q: how many of you bought RM1k+ chair without testing it first? My dilemma now is whether to wait to test the above chairs before buying them (seems like a smart thing to do considering the price)
Any comments, ie what other considerations: warranties, personal xp etc?

Thanks!
*
Evis ErgoPro is a rebrand of Sihoo V1. If you can get your hands on Sihoo V1 you can save a lot and its basically the same chair. Its a really good chair but not worth paying Evis price

There's 2 ways to get the chair that I know of

i) cheapest method would be to buy directly from Taobao. The chair itself should cost only around RM1.2k, and shipping itself may cost around RM150 - 300+ depending if you use taobao own shipping or 3rd party shipping. Drawbacks to this is warranty claiming, would be a hassle if you are unlucky. But I've read a post here saying Sihoo would send a replacement (or parts replacement) if the chair is faulty upon delivery.

ii) another way is through local seller/importer. Less hassle and worries regarding shipping, higher price than above but still cheaper than Evis. One seller I found on shopee

https://shopee.com.my/product/448264095/105...91-1629219197.9

Alternatively if you want full mesh seat on a budget.... there's Sihoo M57. Able to get for less than 1k.

No one discussing about the new release TL62 from AM Office? Seems like not bad at RM659 for a full mesh seat, but not sure this OEM from which China brand.

https://amoffice.com.my/product/tl62-ergono...ack-mesh-chair/

Anyway I'm still looking for a full mesh seat budget at RM 1k - 1.2k. Is Sihoo M57 / V1 still the best option?

Do you own a M57? Mind sharing your height and your review about the chair?

I believe I found the same seller as you did, on both Shopee and Lazada. They have a branch in Sri Damansara, and they offer up to 3 years warranty and provide free shipping (except east Malaysia, +150 they said 😅). Looks promising as I'm hoping to secure more discounts on coming 12.12, and it's more convenient to deal with local seller.

On a side note, I decided not to consider Evis anymore ever since I saw their questionable "up to 70% off" ads for 11.11, while none of their products/bundles came close to 50% off even. Talk about failed marketing kek.

Evis really have cut throat pricing after you know their chairs are all OEM rebrands

I have the secretlab titan regular size. It’s too big for my wife. She around 160 cm as well. The seat will be too long for her and the support won’t be as good.

I have the ergohuman and it’s good at 1900rm

And recently I bought my wife the sihoo m57 at rm700 plus. This one value for money. Build not as good as ergohuman but the functionality is on par. The lumbar support imo is more solid than ergohuman and way better than the titan. Titan one very little lumbar support.
Can consider this as I think for the value vs price it’s damn good.

I have tested razer iskur in midvalley tmt store and maybe that fits your choice. It’s smaller than titan regular but the lumbar support is way more pronounced in iskur. My wife didn test it though. Best you bring your wife there and both try but from what I tested it’s good.

Can share where you bought Sihoo M57 for RM700+?

Finally got my Sihoo M57. Got it from mymejakerusi (https://shopee.com.my/product/500470137/113...91-1643442880.9) instead of Aitsulab because i) they are slightly cheaper and ii) the colour I want (black) was sold out at Aitsulab.

Overall very satisfied with the purchase as many other buyers here had. The chair was not hard to assemble alone but definitely much easier if you have someone helping especially the part where you need to connect the seat back to the base.

A tip before starting assembly.... please go youtube and watch the assembly video. The written instructions supplied are very straightforward but you might miss some details even if you understand chinese. For me initially I missed out the part to install the screws together with the washers for the arm rest... end up spending quite some time there removing and installing again.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Lastly some comments for the arm rest. I rmb reading quite a few reviews saying its uncomfortable and quite hard.... surprisingly for me they are totally fine. Its not exactly hard to me, i was expecting it to be hard solid plastic but in reality its slightly soft.

Also I know M57 dont really have width adjustments for the arm rest but looking at the holes (refer above picture).... i was a bit confused. Initially i thought its adjustable so I didnt screw in tightly but then it became too flimsy. Was wondering if some lube will help make it adjustable.

It is not a width adjustable armrest, you gotta tighten that to lock it in position. Technically you just align it with your preferred width and tighten it
*
Yea i know. But seems like the potential is there to make it adjustable if someone adventurous enough try to mod it

Nice chair.

Looks very similar to the AM Office. I reckon all came from the Same manufacturer laugh.gif

Wanted to get that but it went up to 1k+ lol
*
There's a lot of local brands out there that rebrand Sihoo chairs and sells them at inflated prices. Evis and Space just to name a few. Just need to be aware of the chair design

QUOTE(Takudan @ Feb 1 2022, 03:54 PM)
"a few" probably was just me but i posted twice about M57 haha. Now that you mentioned, i tried pressing the armrest and indeed it is slightly soft.. emphasis on SLIGHTLY. Honestly i don't feel snugly at all cuz I actually have to hard press that down lol, otherwise, knocking on it I get kok kok kok sound.

It's my biggest pet peeve here because I rely on them to align myself to the desk height which isn't really a good fit to me. I can't rest on it 90 degrees, instead I rest my elbows most of the time instead, which makes it sore over time sad.gif
*
How tall are you?

Actually at my current settings, the arm rest (at maximum height) is just slightly lower than my table. If i set my chair higher to match the arm rest with table height, my feet would be leaving the ground / not 90 degrees already. But so far I am ok with this arrangement, I'm able rest my arms on it instead of just elbows. I'm 178cm btw but thin

Also I dont think there's any chairs out there that give really soft cushion arm rest, mostly are just soft plastic, even on herman millers. Correct me if im wrong

Budget is around RM500-RM1K

Sihoo M57

Or top up slightly (1.2k - 1.5k+) for Alterseat CG Prime, Merryfair Wau / Wau 2

Sihoo V1 is another option to consider but you have to buy and ship yourself from Taobao. Also cost 1k+

Sihoo is great bang for buck. Quality feels beyond what u actually paid for it. The fact that some local brands like Space rebrands M57 and sells it for 1k+ speaks a lot

Can't comment about Merryfair since I never tried them
