Yes, better to stay away from USB C hubs with PD for now, especially if you are charging power thru it.
Maybe in the macOS update, apple will iron this issue out?

I’m ordering the Dlink DUB-M530 5-in-1 USB-C Hub with HDMI and SD/microSD Card Reader. RM158 via shopee.

I’m not taking chance on using USB C port on any non-PD USBC hub itself. sweat.gif

Using this route you might be charged a fee. Better that you find a store locally which offers the 12/24 months 0% instalment for Maybank credit cards so that the stores are the ones who bear those fees. If you have a Hong Leong credit card, you can get the 24 months instalment at Switch.

Make sure the shop offers 12/24 months without forcing you to opt for warranty, AFAIK, senQ offers that

So, can use warranty?

can, they either replace what is damaged (battery module or touch+power chipset) or whole new device

Hey guys I'm looking for a USB-C/TB to DisplayPort cable.

Anyone knows if this should support? Or has tried it with their M1?

Is this happen to you every time you move of the lid? What i've notice is that only happened to me when it has remained 1 position for more than 3mind(roughly).
And it's seems worsen from day to day as it became more & more frequent now. sweat.gif

TLDW: Just buy the 8GB version if you didnt do super crazy-crazy stuff like working with 6K or 8K videos.

M1 with 8GB of ram is really powerfull enough for most usage. Even rendering 4K video is easy for the M1 with 8GB ram.

But if you have the money, why not?

I don't notice it becomes more frequent but it's a double edge sword as it reminds me to be gentle with it everytime. It happens every now & then. Maybe one pop every 3-4 days because I mostly use in clamshell mode.

Have you guys tried to play any Apple Arcade games as I did realise my MacBook feels warm after 20 minutes play?

Hi, I'm planning to buy a MBA M1 soon. Just thinking of the accessories (hub/adapter) to go with it since it has only 2 USB-C ports. I'm also using another monitor for display extension for work.

What would you guys recommend for MBA M1? I'm looking around for something less than RM100, preferably.

When it comes to USB-C hubs, don't stinge on them. Get a reputable one especially with the recent cases where power delivery through 3rd party hubs are bricking the M1 Macs.
