Just placed and order for 16/512 yesterday. Estimate delivery takes 2 to 3 weeks. Hopefully can get it sooner

Any updates on this? My hinge starting to pop way more often also lol.

Side question to the forum also; anyone here knows a good seller for USB-C/Thunderbolt to DisplayPort cable? Trying to run my ultrawide directly connected to my M1 MBA instead of through a HDMI port on my dock.

Been communicate with Machines Technician via email the next day after I sent it.

They’ve ran a few test on the WiFi and no issue being found thru all their test so I think it really might be my wifi is doing no good to this laptop(as per someone here mentioned earlier).
Speaking of the hinge, they have ordered a new part to fix the hinge issue and will let me know once it’s completed. The part is estimated 4-7working days to arrive and I assume it’s shipped from oversea as they mentioned it might be delay due to custom clearance(P/S :I didn’t ask what they ordered to fix the issue but the great news is it’s covered under apple warranty )

I think will be ready to collect by next week and will let you know once I got it .

Nice that means they are acknowledging it could be a manufacturing defect. Might want to send mine over too while its still new.

Anyone's MBA here sits wobbly on any flat surface...?

Mine does, lower right corner jacked up by maybe 0.5mm...

My order since 13 days ago still "processing".

M1 didn't detect ethernet connection. Im using ugreen 10 in 1. Anybody got this issue too?

Did you try the network cable with another machine/laptop? Does it work there? Do you have a screenshot of your network settings?

I am using an external USB-C hub with an ethernet port, no issues for me.

I book on 4feb; wanted to cancel the order due to unforeseen circumstances; immediately received sms saying item js shipped, creidt card is charged

That's unfortunate but you still can keep it unopen and resell it. Im sure someone will want to buy it considering we have to wait ~3 weeks to get one from store.

The hypp of this M1 MBA have slowed down.. delivery now reduced to 1-2 Weeks already..

i have macbook air ( year 2015 i think)

how do i connect using HDMI cable to TV ? my TV have HDMI but it looks like the macbook dont have HDMI port. i want to play movies.

anyone can help? i owned this laptop for many years but know jack shit about it since i work with PC most of the time.

That was extremely quick! Did you get a custom order or a base model?

Sounds like your Macbook Air uses a Thunderbolt 2 port or also having the same shape as a Mini Display Port. You need a mini display port to HDMI connector.

Suddenly got an email saying my laptop is ready to collect last night then I immediately collect my laptop back this morning, so far the hinge issue was gone but I think need time to observe about it.
However, the wifi issue still persist despite the technician had ran few round of test about it and I'm using my relatives home wifi now. Not sure is this linked to unifi because both of our home are using unifi too.

haha okay everyone having very different issues. my bluetooth still randomly disconnecting even with the Big Sur update. connectivity to ultrawide monitor improved but still fails sometimes. thinking to connect directly with TB/USB-C to Display Port.
