see how fast the Excel been open! Crazy....8GB RAM only will more than enough
This video convinced me to go for the M1 Macbook Air. Currently I am using a 2011 Macbook Air with 4Gb RAM and opening 40-80MB excel files are a pain! Looking at the video makes me think that it is time to replace it with the new M1 MBA.

Not that I’m aware of but from my experience the autocorrect function on macOS is excellent. It basically corrects every spelling mistake I make so I can type fast without worries.
I'm impressed how it run City Skylines even if the game isn't native yet, or ever will be. The next best thin and light is the Razer Book 13, $200 with Intel Xe Graphics which is only half as fast. The XPS with Xe Graphics isn't even out yet. The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go is much slower.
Hey we have the same model , I bought mine in Dec 2014 and coming to 6 years now. Tempted to change but I still need bootcamp for some Windows based software.
I always calculate the "lifetime cost of ownership" - I paid RM 3955 for my Macbook Air back then and this translates to RM 1.80 per day over 6 years. Pretty damn good value for money for that.
PS: I have to admit I do sometimes miss playing PC games though
Hahaha, yeah, best return for investment as far as a laptop is concerned
I also paid just under RM4k for my unit, a 256GB one, couldn't be happier with it especially with Big Sur now. Everything looks new again, hahaha. I do have a concern every time I run Windows on Bootcamp though and that is my CPU fan seems to go into overdrive and can get a bit noisy. Do you have that problem?

RM800 for Malaysia. Same goes for upgrading 256GB to 512GB.
Had been using X1 carbon for the last few years, had always wanted that little bit more processing power. Guess this M1 chip will make me try using MBA once it is available here.
i was looking something to replace my desktop and old laptop, many people review this very good for light gaming.. however, mostly miss out android emulator. many new release mobile game now being play using android emulator due to hotkey and big screen. i wonder how this macbook handle android emulator as they are memory hungry application and how many instances can be run simultaneously.
