after reading all comments.. im going to buy 65 c716.. after few days watched youtube on tv comparison now im firm on this decision! no doubt

If you have sound bar or AV system, better use official version 606.

Last time I updated use 609 and 616, tv sound passthrough has problems.

TCL is issuing the firmware update so frequent..I'm with v609 for my sound bar compatibility.

Yea, probably you are not to use frequent updates, but at least they working on any kind of improvements.
And this year is major update to Android 11 (seems they will skip Android 10).
Btw,
you can try yourself....not satisfied...any time can go back to previous version.

Alhamdulillah, my tv has been fixed (technician came on Monday, returned to me today). Panel issue. They replaced the whole panel.

When asked the technician, he said that this issue is rare.

Please get QLED as the picture is very awesome, especially when content has HDR+ or Dolby Vision.

The " QLED " term has been abused so many times by Samsung , it isn't even funny now .


Initially the QLED was not a new tech , it is as literal as slapping a layer of quantum dots films on top of the LCD pixels [not to be confused with upcoming self-emitting-tech Quantum Dots] .
Since we can already achieve WCG in the past few years with Phosphors based LCD , QD's primary purpose is to improve Color Volume , often associates with what most common people called ' Vibrant , Vivid colors " .

Indeed , in the last few years we have witnessed improvement but are only limited to these mini light canon Q80 / Q90 Series .


Understand the fundamental , Color Volume is closely tied to the Color reproduction and Luminance [ photopic response , from dark to white ]

In such cases , TV with no FALD [ typical 300-500 cd/m2 ] gives no advantages whatsoever .

It is like giving the artist a palette but not allowing him any brushes or tool to paint .
They can slap 10 layers of diamond dots on top it is still not going to look different .


We already have many examples , like these Q60R & Q60T , a " QLED " without FALD and has poor color volume just like other LCD .


Therefore , don't buy into these stupid marketing terms . They don't make magically make your TV more colorful than ever .

TCL is at least more honest and they are certified to cover at least 93% of the DCI , which is pretty good for a TV at this price range .
