Any online warranty registration for TCL tv?

TCL is issuing the firmware update so frequent..I'm with v609 for my sound bar compatibility.
Any image improvement with this new update?

Sad to know your story. I also just purchased a 65" C716 last week from Lazada. I'm glad my unit is in good condition. Look like TCL Malaysia has some issues on QC...they need to improve to gain consumer confidence on their products.

Been comparing firmware ver 606 and 620...seems like ver 620 has much brighter screen, more accurate colour temperature with 10 steps control, rename micro dimming to local contrast, audio delay setting...but I have minor audio syncing issue with my Samsung Q80 soundbar...

I'm using 4k UHD Blu-ray player...the TV will display Atmos logo when playing Atmos enabled movies.

Weird...I've been watching 4k content using Kodi with no problem what so ever....

My TV is on firmware ver 620. Original factory firmware was ver 606...also no issue using Kodi.
Also, I think the ver 620 has raise the TV brightness compare to ver 606...colour is more vivid and crisp....

You can see the sky was not displayed properly with weird artifacts...

Thanks for the update. I thought it's related to white balance setting, tried to adjust the WB but the issue still persists...

Peak brightness is a "thing" nowadays which every reviewer talks about...to achieve better HDR image. But the ability for a TV to produce the brightest specular highlights at a very short period is going to cost you more money...a lot more money.
For general purpose viewing TV...just get a reasonable priced TV with a good contrast and able to produce wider colour gamut...which I opt for TCL Qled TV.

Unless you always watch 4k UHD movies with 1000 to 4000 nits peak brightness graded movies (which only a handful of movies have such property), then you can get a better TV like Sony A90J.

The main reason for me not choosing Sony X8000H is they are using IPS panel for the model...

Just played the video, just some minor drop frame at the beginning of the video...all smooth later on.

Using VPN to watch HBO Max...the usual android TV has switched to the new google tv interface...but when turn off the VPN, it will return to android tv 9...

It's different TV all together. Hisense U800QF is a FALD Qled TV with high peak brightness and TCL C716 is a Qled TV without FALD and much lower peak brightness. What I dislike is Hisense is not an Android TV. Hisense U800QF is a better TV for HDR content and also more expensive...around 1k price difference.

Depending on your use case...if you always watch 4k HDR content...go for Hisense.
But Sony X9000h or X9500H will be a better choice if I have to make a decision within the RM 5K bracket and these choices are only limited to LED LCD TVs...

As for my case, I had set my budget not exceeding RM 4k for a 65" TV...so I bought C716..

Mine seems ok with v 631...but there is a new update anyway.

Updated to R709...good stuff.

The R709 also introduced picture motion control option...great!

Try to reset all the picture setting to default and readjust to your liking

I don't have any issue watching sport programs with fast scene...may be can turn off the digital noise reduction and noise reduction.

I'm on ver 709...they included motion clear control in the setting. But I didn't encountered any issue on the previous firmware too.
