Which firmware you got ? Read in other forums that a week ago had update to V378 (on TLC UK) and expecting new also this month.

Seems that 50" is C716 and 55" is C715 here.
Read also that this year will be update to Android 10 (and up to Android 12 in next 2 years).

After a month of consideration, I order 50C716 (for my bedroom) yesterday...... rclxm9.gif

A plenty of support (software, picture setting,reviews,etc...) found on web sites.
Seems is very well accepted all over.

Flashed manually to V395 firmware (Android security June 5,2020: Kernel 4.14.76+,#174,Oct 30 2020), seems a much better, still testing...

Tips (for all TCL TV's):

To see bitrate in Netflix with RC802V remote,must press virtual remote control keyboard button....then Info.... biggrin.gif

To enter Service Menu:

In the Picture settings/ Advanced/ Brightness menu, select "Contrast" and at this point dial the following numbers:
1950 - general service menu (Design Menu)
9735 or 6428 - subsection Factory Menu
9705 - subsection Service Menu
6405 - subsection Hotel Menu
6425 - Total running time ,there is quick access to reset (Reset All and Reset Shop)

Access to the service menu (all adjustments are at your own peril and risk !!)

My opinion didn't differ much from review posted earlier here.

You mean pic from Netflix ?
That pic has snap by phone.
This TV no FALD and no Edge lit.
Local (micro) dimming and direct led.

Edit:
Just checked....50" from RM2.2K go up to RM2.550 , rolleyes.gif
55" slightly down to RM3.150.

Note:
Do not install any file sharing app (ie..ES File Manager) linked to your LAN...like SMB and Upnp,
as original installed Media Player will stop working.

Hard to say difference,but PQ is very nice, plenty possibility to adjust.
What I like is that I can play with firmware up and down, great support from many forums.

TV came with V356 firmware, then I try V378, 395, then go down to 379 (now).
As budget TV, I am very happy.
Android 10 coming soon....

This is still a budget TV, so put in this perspective and my 3th TV in the house (my room).

For me, I am very happy with my purchase.
Plenty of OTA and IMG firmware (easy to flash),plenty of reviews (YouTube...many...) and plenty of support thru various forums.
Easy to enter Factory Service Menu.
