hi all, does anyone know how to check MSIC code for transaction. Suspect some transaction not eligible.

I spend 3050 above for affin duo cashback card every month, but getting not even rm30 cashback, instead of rm50. Feel scammed by this bank.

Facing same issue with uob card as well.

Just list down your spend? I get RM50 every month, spend at least 1666.67 on shopee and the rest can be any spend.

Do you pay before statement generated? The actual statement balance should be RM3000, not spend RM3050 but pay before statement generated.

usually you have to call to bank and ask them on the MCC code.
You can backward calculate the cashback to guess which are the unqualified transactions if your transactions are not too much.

I pay after statement generated, definitely not immediately. It says my PREVIOUS BALANCE is 3067, and my NEW BALANCE is 3035 after cashback.
But the cashback I get is rm25 only.

For cashback, is it only ELIGIBLE transaction count towards the total minimum retail spend? Like If I spend 3050, but one transaction RM100 not eligible. Then I fail to hit above rm3k, become 2.9k, is this how it works? Hence, not entitled to Rm50 cashback.

3% Cash Back* with AFFIN DUO Visa Cash Back

e-Commerce/Online Transactions
eWallet Reloads/Transactions
Auto-Billing

as long as your transactions falls on above category, then it entitles for the 3%. RM3000 statement balance is for raising cashback cap to Rm50, if you are getting cashback rm25 not RM30, then it is not issue with cashback cap.

I see, thanks for your info. I think I realized what is going on. Some transactions are for in-store purchases after reading my statement again. Dumb dumb me.

1st, earlier card users didnt know about this "benefit". like myself, we activated both cards. hence, we feel the "pain" every year sweat.gif

2nd, later card users didnt activate the extra cards. fortunately, bank doesnt impose sst when card not activated for 3 years..

3rd, some users reported they got charged sst (for their unactivated card) after 3 years honeymoon period. this, need more ppl to report after 3yrs.

there's no guarantee no SST perpetually as long as card unactivated. bank may be forced to impose it since card already issued to you for 3 years

Yes, that's right. I'm in the first category and also I have been using this card since day 1, so more than 3 years already. There are people reporting got charged after 3 years, so don't be too happy yet if it is not charged yet. tongue.gif

SST will never be charged as long as card not activated. Not sure about annual fee.
I will only know next year.

I presume you completed your 3-years cycle?
As of now, there's no AF & SST being charged on your inactive Mastercard, right?
