Alamak, Affin Rewards card got charged annual fees because forgot to swipe 12x.

Called bank to ask for waiver, need to spend RM300 first then call back again to ask for waiver.

Just realized this as well. Is it possible to cancel the MC since i seldom use it and I only use the Visa more. I also didn’t realize they don’t call this Duo anymore.

did u succesfully cancelled MC only?

I also wish to do that, but based on previous post I remember they said it's not possible. Maybe someone should try to ask the bank again.

paid 4x small-ish topupt to shopeepay (for 12x annual fee waiver condition)

4x txn success
next final 1x txn failed

affin called to verify the txn is legit or not.

sent sms saying the card has been deactivated

sent email and listed all 4+1 txn (shopeepay topup) for clarification.

i think most bank having this, not only Affin, PBB also same, as in after 4th times top up, the bank will block, so, normally i will split into next day...

active blocking is norm nowadays

i'm more interested to affin's active calling and multiple notifications and even listed the last (suspicious) transactions for me to review. kudos to them

luckily i read this, plan to do the same next week. So do you really need to activate it back? Is the process cumbersome?

some basic question. nothing serious. they just need to verify the txn that you made were genuine and done by you (some verification on amount and to where)

i suggest doing this about 3x per day to shopeepay.

p/s: after card status restored, unfortunately, no notification sent back.

p/s: managed to pay 4th txn after waited few hours. didnt try 5th. i suppose velocity check is "3x per hour per merchant".

Any idea if any spending of RM300 is qualified for the waiver. For example topup ewallet or pay utility like TNB?

recently anybody kena of unactivated card auto activated after 3 years and charged AF?
is it now still the same, will auto activate unactivated card at year 3 and charge AF?

as my Duo+ Master still not activated yet.
