Commissions earner might be one of the reason to be rejected.
Cash on call will hold the credit limits. It will show in credit card outstanding.

Like you take RM6000 cash on call, your ccris will show 6000+card outstanding.

I think Affin reject could be high DSR. Now mostly got rejected because of high outstanding.

The agent checked and I cannot even collect from the nearest branch, so to ease the whole process, I chose to send to office. Though inconvenient for me but at least it works. Pray hard, it will be approved. laugh.gif

Bank more careful in credit application

Debt service ratio

First things first, what is DSR?
To put it simply, Debt Service Ratio in Malaysia is a method used by banks to calculate whether or not you can afford the loan you’re applying for.

In terms of a home loan, this formula essentially helps the bank estimate how much you can afford to fork out for your monthly instalments.

Based off your monthly net income and the total fixed debt you have to pay each month for your student and car loans etc, banks can see for themselves if the property you’re trying to obtain is within your financial limits.

I see thanks.
If there's no fixed commitment only credit card debts, there will be no conclusion for DSR then!
What will be the next thing they look at? Credit utilisation % of the credit cards?

you will not know the actual formula or all the criterias.

generally CTOS, CCRIS, DSR, etc. We dont know what else are they inputing to assess you.

each bank works differently and each have their own set of criteria to "score/assess" you.

each bank would have different risk appetite and tolerance for each individual.

there is no "1 universal formula" to solve all your cc application.

these assessment/scoring criteria is kept secret/P&C for some reasons: one of it, to prevent ppl for purposely targeting these criteria in order to get approval.

I agree with this, I have one "1" on my CCRIS, updated in July due to my own carelessness... I thought it may affect my application but it turns out, it doesn't. However, I can't say the same for other banks, they may have different way to assess...

Back to Affin, eventually the approved CL is one of the highest among all my cards, earlier during pending status, it was super low. tongue.gif

Received call from Sales Manager to follow up on documents. He says will drop by my office. Good service.

Told him that I'm existing cardholder, he then mentioned that documents not required and application would be handled by other teams. Hopefully, my application not forgotten!

1st, has anyone gotten and used the card?

2nd, even if gotten the card, has the autobilling charged yet?

3rd, even if autobilling charged, has the statement generated yet? cuz this is when you see the cb.
