Told him that I'm existing cardholder, he then mentioned that documents not required and application would be handled by other teams. Hopefully, my application not forgotten!

Wah... perhaps Affin planning to eventually discontinue this card by driving customers to cancel.
If known earlier, should have cancelled, plus now petrol spending is very low.

Mastercard cannot be cancelled. Will be charged annual fee + SST even not activated. AF can be waived with 12 transactions.
Now "promo" reported is waiver on SST. So, suggest to activate.

Duo Master appears in the statement even not activated.
SST kicks in only after card activation.
AF would be 12 months from card issued. For example, Duo cards issued in Jan 2021, the AF will be in Dec 2021 or Jan 2022.

I cancelled VS, quite fast reflected online. No retention offer.
