Digi always the better choice!

I still have prepaid no but the balance is stacking up as I reload every 2 months to keep the number alive. Does Digi allow the transfer of unused credits to other digi users?

you can check their website for all the plan and rate. as for gprs, it is 10cent for 10kb data downloaded.

10 cent/10 kb is pretty standard..same with Maxis also. But if you want unlimited data with excellent rates...DIGI is definitely it.

For prepaid, no registration required. Minimum balance must be above RM10. to call, just dial *111*6016XXXXXXX# "send" and wait for your phone to ring.

For postpaid, you will need to walk into the nearest DiGi centre with your passport

ACLA = Automatic Credit Limit Alert
CLIR = Caller Line Identification Restriction

What shortcode you mean?

Supposing when you are in Thai, it suppose to speak Thai when you are roaming there.

But please be remind that roaming service Narathiwat, Patani and Yala roaming service is temporary suspended by all telco

Although i am a DiGi user, but u know what, ever since they lost their 3G licence, they quickly change and promote nokia 6230 and EDGE. Now they lost their wimax licence, they introduce Fu Yoh and try to gain their fame so that ppl with no remember that DiGi don have wimax. They have good strategies.

I wondered if my 016 number which i used for 5 years can be changed to hotlink or not lol....

Follow the number on the simcard better la. Now you will need to register before you line can be activated, meaning if your line is not activated, you are not able to make nor receive calls or sms.

If you go to the right place, you can have your simcard register within minute. Right place = shops with DiGi signboard.

No for prepaid users, if you wanna make calls during roaming to anywhere you have to use *111*+(country code)(area code)(phone number)# send

The *111* sure works, if it doesn't work with the operator you roam, switch to other operator that available.

Fyi, non of the mobile operator got the Wi-Max license. So if you wanted a mobile operator that have Wi-Max or even just won the license, then sorry for you. You change to Hotlink also they dont have it.

Talking about changing your current 016 number to hotlink, it is possible when we have Mobile Number Portability (MNP) later this year. So you dont have to worry. before that, I hope you can go to maxis section in LYN forum to read some of the complains. As usual, most ppl will not satisfy for what there are having, not until they lost it.

No for prepaid users, if you wanna make calls during roaming to anywhere you have to use *111*+(country code)(area code)(phone number)# send

The *111* sure works, if it doesn't work with the operator you roam, switch to other operator that available.
*
I see.
our country code is 60 ?
so calling local phone line should be *111*6(area code)(phone number)# right??

Today i get my DiGi 014 register at prepaid shop.. but donno when it will be activate.. I wanna activate the sim pack at DiGi sign shop, guess what the sales gurl said RM3 per register of digi prepaid... WhATtt??... i donno why they wanna RM3 for register...

Then i go to the shop that i buy the prepaid... she said.. the prepaid will activate about (at least)5 -6pm today but.. till now i just get "inactive SIM" on my K700i.. i wonder if this happen to new unregistered DiGi number... just have to wait untill they process the register i guess...

Still i'm a bit disappointed when the DiGi shop wanna charge me RM3 for register.. soo i have to register to the normal shop that i buy... i think they are not a fast register shop... till now still "inactive SIM".. hehe.. have to SaBar and Wait.. to use Fu-YooOoh!

P/S : is it normal for new DiGi prepaid user to encounter "inactive sim" before register the sim pack? .. Just Askin if anybody experience this before..

Hoping good experience with digi 014 simpack this year

it's because you havent activated your simcard using your phone. as i know, inactivate simcard cannot be used on SE phones. try activate the simcard first using Nokia or other brand phones. then only you put it back to your K700i. whistling.gif

i guess something is wrong wif ur activation... u said ur simpack is having a diff nos then ur inner simcard... why? haf it been tempered b4?

i've bought and activate a DiGi simpack for my colleague b4 and it can be done IMMEDIATELY! coz' tat phone shop took my details and key it in online and tada... i open it, put it into my hp... i can receive and make calls d... can say almost instantly...

urs seems to have problem... else, if still problem persist... just buy another simpack... moreover, it don cost much nowadays... buy it and get it activate on the spot... hassle free...

u won't need to wait and wait for so long... i'm sure ur card is a problematic one... get it check... call DiGi helpline to ask maybe?

Your sim card having problem la, you wont get inactive sim nor sim card registration fail. You will still see the word DiGi even you havent register, just take you cant activate it.

Can you share with us which shop need to charge you RM3 for registration? So that all other forumers will take note of that

The worst part is, the sim pack has been opened before... And the sim has been swapped. Such a terrible shop.

For prepaid, no registration required. Minimum balance must be above RM10. to call, just dial *111*6016XXXXXXX# "send" and wait for your phone to ring.

For postpaid, you will need to walk into the nearest DiGi centre with your passport

The best value-for-money reload is RM50 for 2 months. Only RM25 per month.

Why not? He can reload as much and as many times as he wants but the maximum birthday bonus is RM150 (reload = RM300 or more). So after your friend transfers the RM100+50 to you, he is only entitled to another RM100 bonus.

BTW, no need to use words like "manipulate"-lah...sounds a bit kiasu. The fact is, this is a win-win situation. You and your friend are making full use of the birthday bonus and DiGi is also happy. Customer reload = DiGi revenue.

I activated a new postpaid account today and now find that my mobile doesn't display my phone number anymore (under phone status which shows phone model, battery level, memory usage, etc).

Is this normal for postpaid numbers? My prepaid numbers are displayed as usual (both DiGi and Hotlink). Can someone confirm, please?

I think most SE phones have this standard feature. So far I've never had to manually set anything for "phone status". But if you know how to do this, please share.

I'm just wondering why prepaid numbers are being displayed but not the postpaid one. Anyone else with an SE phone and using DiGi postpaid?

i think it depends on you're sim card.afaik 16k and 32k simcard's number won't be detected by the phone.

anywaysss,i just received a call from a DiGi customer survey operator blink.gif the number that i got is 03-27238700.asked me about the FuYoh plan laugh.gif but strangely though,i got the call on my Hotlink number.

It depends on the operator that you use in Philippine. You will not be enjoying any package that you subscribe cos its only for smses or calls originating in Malaysia

You can also use *128#

Really?...then can check on main line and sub line together?
Or sub line just check on itself?
Anyway, thanks for your reply.

i think it depends on you're sim card.afaik 16k and 32k simcard's number won't be detected by the phone.

Don't think so because my mobile number displays when using Hotlink 16k and DiGi prepaid 64k sim cards.

Since only the DiGi postpaid 64k sim card is refusing to display the number, maybe it's the sim card problem. Guess I'll have to sort this out at one of the DiGi centres.

There're only two plans: Beyond or Fu Yoh.

FnF plus is an extra feature like usual FnF.

If you like to talk over the phone Fu-Yoh will be better because the call rates are better. But note that there will be monthly charges or RM3 if i have not mistaken.

DiGi Fu-Yoh
DiGi Prepaid

DiGi now got only ONE SIMPLE SMART PLAN. Both Fu-Yoh! and fnf plus also an add on package.

If you sms a lot to other operator, then subscribe to Fu-Yoh!, each sms you will save 8¢, 10 smses you will save 80¢, 40 smses you will save RM3.20 and you only pay RM3 per month. You will definitely save you a lot of money if you send more than 2 smses per day.

As for fnf plus, the only benefit you get is cheaper call rate to 2 non DiGi number like your office as they cant change their fixed line to DiGi. As others, buy them a DiGi prepaid as subscribing to fnf is FREE

The FnF plus only applies to calls and not SMS-es right? Nonetheless if worthy if you make a lot of calls to friends who are on other network providers.

Eh.. Another Symbian MSN messenger user. Yeah, I got to use DiGinet as my access point. I think DiGiwap is only for WAP protocols while DiGinet can be used for other protocols such as HTTP. Btw, it is really cheap. I tried to online 1 hour and chat a little on it, it's less than 1 buck! laugh.gif

Earlier they had, but now I'm not sure abt the new postpaid package. But usually they will have some contract. That's why have to be very careful when signing for a postpaid. All the clauses are already stated in the registration form...

im only use it when im calling to 016 friends who expected to talk more than 10 minutes...

shd i terminate it kah? unless i do make a significant calls to 016, else im wont save.

im now using Maxis Package 75, n also using Digi Optimum package. monthly fee is RM10 as i got the RM10 off for the auto debit.

guys...just wanna share this....

just now i got a sms from DiGi, n said "congratulations, anda telah memenangi Rm11,000. Sila hubungi pusat perkhidmatan pelanggan digi di 0062815...... (forgot the number) untuk maklumat lanjut. tertakluk kepada terma dan syarat"

n i call that number, a chinese guy answered it n asked my maybank acc. sweat.gif
so i wondering, its from digi, n why ask me to call foreign number(indonesia) n i called digi customer services and ask about this, they said its only scam n be carefull. they got a lots of report about this. doh.gif
if u really won anything from digi they will send sms using 2000 number instead of "DiGi"
i thought i was so lucky today to receive 11k laugh.gif

I guess u guys misunderstand this. I'm a 8 yrs digi postpaid subscriber. In order to redeem a new handphone, u got to have 3000 or 6000 digi points. Rm1 for 1 digi points. There will be promotion every month, even if u have sufficient points, u still have to be lucky enough to be selected as the winner is randomly picked. Phone model change every month, I've just redeemed a Motorola KRZR K1 last month icon_rolleyes.gif and there goes my 7 yrs of points collected tongue.gif

that is because west malaysia's cellular phone is nearing saturation point already. sabah/sarawak still very low penetration rate, so they are battling in sabah/sarawak now to win more customers.

celcom is the natural incumbent in east malaysia, but looks like maxis and digi are gaining in these 2 states, at the expense of celcom.

I think it's a new package la. You'll have to sign up for 2 yrs, either 100 or 125 per mth. and u can get a new Handphone. Air time to be deducted from the payment lo. got pros and cons.. for those who usually have high phone bills will probably own themselve a new HP smile.gif

Ok guys, I just opened up a new topic for this question, but I'm gonna drop one here as well cause i'm in desperate need of help... icon_question.gif

I was in overseas for the last 1/2 year and entrusted my 016 number to someone to keep it active for me while i was gone...but that person totally forgot about it and it DIED in May doh.gif !!! I just got back last week and found out what happened...now my question is, are there any ways i could save my number? The number means a lot to me and I've been using it for years, I can't afford to let it die cry.gif ! icon_question.gif

Somebody posted false call rate information on DiGi's wikipedia, which has since been removed. Check out the info in the History.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DiGi_Telecommunications

The fella's IP is this: 219.95.176.30

And he/she removed links and info from the wiki as well.

Low blow from competitors or just some random prank? Hmm...

The article appears to have been written by some thick-skinned Ah Beng/Ah Lian. There are so many grammatical errors, it's embarrassing!

[Edit: "authored' amended to "written". Oh, the irony!]

That's good to hear! Hope your line remains clear.

Hardware problem on their side...so I assume whatever they fixed will benefit all DiGi users, not just you, right? Guess I'll test this out by diverting calls to my DiGi line and see what happens.

7 cents/SMS! Saves me alot of money. thumbup.gif

I thought I'm the only one having the echo problem. Great to hear that it's rectified.

I've also recently written to DiGi regarding on the mobileTV. They don't allow bookmarked links anymore and that made me to waste some money each time before I can view something which I have already subscribed for. DiGi replied that they will look into this issue and I haven't got any updates on it yet.

I see DIGI reintroduced its Free calls on sunday midnight til noon. What are the procedures to use it?

I tried it last week it ate up all my money at 30sen per minute. Do i have to remove number from FnF or keep it in there?

Want to ask, currently I'm on Digi Postpaid+unliimited EDGE. Can I swith to unlimited EDGE only (without the voice plan) cos planning to use datacard instead and maybe sign up for a separate voice plan. I've ask one of the personnel at Digi SC before, but said unlimited EDGE need to have the voice plan also.

Thanks

My requirement was to register for the supplementary data line also (at RM33)...The places I enquired all said supplementary data line must have the principal line register for the voice plan+unlimited edge.

hey guys,

i noticed this new deal about subscribing with digi and getting a new samsung phone. I would like to know if there are any access fees apart from the airtime rebate that we need to pay?

I understand that once we sign up with this promotion, we're under the premier plan. Any feedback? Is this promo worth the free phone tagged with it? My usual Airtime charges using Maxis is around RM120+. Not sure if i should switch to Digi and get the new phone as well. Any opinions?

No lar. Cannot carry forward. It's considered burn if you don't use it. If you use more than RM70, then you will be charged accordingly.

BTW, if I subscribe to this plan1, can I subscribe to the data plan at RM33? I saw this price at website but less details

There should be a RM 3 monthly subscription fee.

The RM3 monthly subscription fee has been waived until 31st March 2007, so use this great opportunity to subscribe to Friends and Family Plus(tm) to enjoy great low rates across other networks.

Just called digi customer consultants and really sad that they become stupid like their blue and red counterparts. Cant give me a direct answers and always ask me to wait and wait while they consult their supervisor. What kind of consultants? The conclusion is all of these guys are not adequately trained be it astro or maxis or now digi . Nearly burst my blood vessels .

I don't think that any telco could do that since the caller is subscribing for CLIR service unless you got a court order.

it means even if u call another guy and talk like 5 second, they still charge u the price for 30second.

price for 30 second block equals to call rates perminute divided by 2

another example:
even if u talk for 65 second, they gonna charge u a 90 second price

i just do some research on it

I tried :-

*128#

2
2 ---> which only 1 & 0 options available (traffic, back), no Fuyoh available... hmm.gif

ah..the credit was Rm10, now left Rm8.80..

Need to check abt Fuyoh.. change to Fuyoh, need monthly Rm3 fee charged?! Beside this.. does any advantage to consumer? (7 sen to all network & 1 sen sms??)

Cannot change from postpaid to prepaid? I thought can? Coz even Maxis allow to do it.

As long you are out of their contract clause (usually 12months of minimum subscribtion), i think you can change to prepaid. Not sure though...

I was like many of you seeking to know what's the difference of Chat Plus, Fuyoh, Powerpack and etc. So, I did some price study on the call rates and sms rates charged by digi prepaid. Just click on the link of my blog below. I hope this will help other confused users like me.

Nice reviews there! Thanks for sharing biggrin.gif
Looks like Fu-YoH! plan is good if you uses the phone to call/SMS much.. the RM3 subscription fee is monthly fee even if you don't use it?

Chat Plus and Beyond are roughly the same right? Are there any significant differences except for instant lower flat call rate of 36cents/min?

Chat Plus
The call rates:
36sen per minute flat.

The SMS rates:
1sen (Friends and Family),
7sen (within DiGi's network), and
15sen (from DiGi network to other local networks).

Beyond
The call rates:
48sen per minute (usage below RM30), and
36sen per minute (usage above RM30).

The SMS rates:
1 sen (Friends and Family),
7sen (within DiGi's network), and
15sen (from DiGi network to other local networks).

How to get Chat Plus?

Yeah. Same question here, since Chat Plus(tm) is almost the same but better. How can we upgrade to that package? Currently using Beyond Prepaid.

Have to make a call to the DiGi CS. Quite troublesome!

I thought can be switched using *128# or DiGi OCS.

Oh cool, they finally have a plan for the chat side. Plus this will counter all the recent ads by hotlink criticizing hotlink for the availability of one low(er) flat rate only after the 30 bucks usage.

I'm still on Fu-Yoh atm, since I msg much more than I call these days. Really useful when since loadsa ppl I msg are on other operators sad.gif

Need some help. I use RM60 a month and all my calls are made to only one DIGI number mostly at night before midnight, what's the best prepaid plan for me? I have Fu-Yoh but I'm confused about the 6 Family and Friends Plan.

Haha.

During I driving, I heard Digi advertisement. This Hotlink user complaining that the rate is so confusing. And he ask why outstation call is RM1.20, the CS say it is because it is old plan. That the customer got pissed off saying why can't Hotlink just make it all into 1 same plan and rate just like Digi.

But the ending is end of close of the conversation. Digi didn't go on promoting saying they are 1 rate blah blah blah.

Existing users can choose to stay with this plan but if you compare the call rate with Chat Plus, it's better to switch to Chat Plus since it's call rate is lower (36 cents versus 48 cents with Automatic Rate Adjusting after RM 30 usage).

ini macam...i heard about Chat Plus..
One thing maxis nvr introduce the automatic rate adjusting concept. Wonder is that bcoz of system limitation. Once upon the time, DiGi bang Hotlink kau kau with this new charging concept.

Existing users can choose to stay with this plan but if you compare the call rate with Chat Plus, it's better to switch to Chat Plus since it's call rate is lower (36 cents versus 48 cents with Automatic Rate Adjusting after RM 30 usage).

Somehow, they're going to abandon this feature soon. tongue.gif

Since in Chat Plus, there's no more automatic rate adjustment thing. It still exists in beyond and the One Low Call Rate after RM 30 of usage.

It's almost the same just that the Call rate is flat. I remember that I saw a blog about DiGi Prepaid stuff, will search for it now.

Use the 1st method since it's easier. I tried to use the 3rd method but no such option or plan available at that time.

Then I think I will quickly change to ChatPlus.

Wondering why Hotlink and Digi old plans are lousy than the new plan, and yet they auto change for users since new plan are much cheaper

Eh, question.. do you need to pay anything monthly to subscribe to either Fuyoh or Chat Plus? I'm using Fuyoh now, and it seems that I'm being deducted RM2.99 at the beginning of this month, based on the OCS.. weird. The transaction is called 'Monthly deduction'.

The 'FuYoh!' needs to pay RM3 per month, Chat Plus or Beyond Prepaid doesn't need to pay anything. You can refer to here for more information.

FNF will be reset and you have to rekey in them. I have subscribed and at that time, I didn't read or come across about the subscription fee thing.

I think you are not allowed to subscribe FNF+ with Chat Plus right?

Once you had subscribe chat plus, you have to re-key in all the F n F numbers (6 Digi numbers) but is not FnF Plus plan. For the chat plus you still can add in 6 Digi numbers to your FnF list. Besides there are NO monthly fee for Digi chat plus. smile.gif
