hi, read your comment in 2020 about using totalgard

how is the tinted? is it still same performance as when you bought it?

and do you  mind share what product totalgard you use?
*
The tint is still good as day 1 for me, but the car rarely spend many hours under open sun, only on a few occasions. But few time park open space in Legoland Johor, the tint doesn't make the seat hot and interior kinda not to hot.

I take Infusion Pro model iinm, all in cost less than rm1k including sunroof.

Just realised that Totalgard has a Shopee Mall set up.

About RM700++ for tinting SUV before discount.

Nice pricing. Thanks

Hi all, do you experience clunking/knocking sound when slowing down from 40km/h to maybe 20km/h? its always within these range, if going thru bumps its once in awhile.
Not sure what is wrong with it
*
Just an update, went to SC reported the case, they tighten some parts on the car, it temporary solved the issue significantly lesser noise but it only last about a week the clunking is back.
Now seems like its worse every uneven road/bumps can hear it already.

Either this or Hankook VP4 if have available size.

Worst case scenario if no stock, Toyo CR1 SUV.

My car is used as retirement folks car. So driving style is quite laid back

I was interested on your input on retirement fact. I am retired and am considering X50. Its just me & wife now, so this SUV suits me fine. Am concerned over the engine getting rough over time. I have heard a 2+ year X50 engine, does sound a bit loud & rough. Any feedback on this issue?

I understand counterweights are used to offset the imbalance of 3cyliner engine. I'm wondering will this present reliability issues over time.

so far didnt heard much 'drama' between the engine gearbox of x50.
other than infamous flywheel krikkrikkrik out there...

my x50 half more year will be almost third year. so far so good.

Do you get a kluk kluk kluk sound when going over rough roads and speed bumps as well? Example over the rocky untarred roads etc?

Easy ingress & egress which I absolutely loved.

Mine also almost 3 years dy. But mine is the executive variant with the MPI turbocharged engine. So, no rough noises.

I didn't have the sound when accelerating, only when going over speed bumps sometimes and mostly on rough roads. Anyway, one possibility is the driveshaft. Had mine changed and didn't notice any further sounds so far.

how do you describe the issue to the SC, i mentioned to them the sounds and they say only can tighten "some parts". Or do you ask them to check the driveshaft directly.

Asked them to check the driveshaft directly. Would be better if you can test drive over some bumps or road and the sound appears. The tech said he needed to record it for proof of warranty claim.

Also need to see how nice the SC is. My first SC was the same, just tighten some parts and ignored it. Started going to a different SC and the tech there was better for me personally.

Mine 2 years+ still doing fine, TGDI

speaking from inside cabin, no weird noise, engine still quiet, vibration didn't get noticeably annoying annoying or worse. Not sure how it is compared to day 1 but at least I didn't get annoyed of any increasingly worse noise/vibration if there is.

my mileage only 20+k now with lots of city drive at hilly area.

My car was parked and a neighbour banged into the side causing some bad scratches and some plastic damage. Is it better to go to a Proton body and paint / 4S center to get it fixed or any outside paint shop will do? Since it's just bodywork will it affect the warranty?

Report police and claim insurance? It is always better to go to a proton body and paint to do it.

No, since it's a neighbour, so he'll pay for it directly.
