Hi, new X50 owner flagship here. Will get my car in 3rd weeks of January.

Planning 1st day after got my car.
1. Tinted - recommendation tinted? The sunroof glass recommend to tint or not?
2. Mat - trappo or dodo mat?
3. Dashcam installation.
*
Trapo and dodo mats are EVA materials which can easily wear off after a while..

Get Enzo.... these are thick rubbers commonly used in older cars before they decided to switch to the coil mats

Hankook Ventus Prime 4
https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Hankook/Ventus-Prime-4.htm

Or this rare Falken Azenis Fk510
https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Falken/Azenis-FK510.htm

Else if wanna spend more, no doubt for Michelin PS4, nowadays cheaper by a lot. Never experience with PS5 yet cz too expansive, waiting their price to cool down

summary : Continental. brand new UC6 when getting the car last time, also not confident enough in wet/heavy rain. The only good is the quietness but worn out fast at side area.

Now Falken FK510 has been superceeded by FK520L.

Based on user review, Continental UC7 wet performance is better than Hankook Ventus Prime 3 & Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3

Based on user review, is this local YouTubers? If yes, I cant digest it much cz Continental Malaysia love sponsoring tyre to them. Long time ago, they said Continental UC6 was good, great on wet etc but own usage, plus plenty more on FB Owner sharing, the UC6 just cant get grip on wet, not confident on wet grip. The pro is only the quietness for this UC6.

That include the Continental MC6, owner review said wet just horror, easy to botak (depends on user)

Nope. Not youtubers. User's review where the person have used the 3 set of tires on the same car (Hankook VP3, Hankook S1E3 & Conti UC7).

What I commented earlier was on the grip & handling on wet roads

UC6 might be a letdown, this was redeemed with the UC7.

It was a similar situation with Hankook Ventus Prime 3, where its successor, the Ventus Prime 4 was a significant improvement.

Basically what I'm trying to convey is to have an open mind & not restrict oneself to brands.

However, I'm not absolved in this as I too still have skepticism with chinese brand tires.

At the moment there is no UC7 SUV yet.

They don't even have the 215/55R18 size.

The closest would be 235/50R18, but the stock 18" rim is 7" wide & can fit maximum 225 wide tires. Their 225/45R18 tires are too small. Need to change rims of at least 7.5" wide if wanna use this tire.

The 235/50R18 UC7 tire has a load rating of XL. So, should be able to handle SUV weight such as X50

I couldn't find info for PS4 SUV with 215/55R18 size.

The closest I could find was Primacy SUV+ with 225/55R18. Cost about under RM700 per piece

1. Local brand tint is suitable enough, best bang for money. Take the highest IRR percentage (99-100%), or TSER 60-65% above. Ask them for black & white warranty. My car happy with performance of Totalgard considering their top spec cost less than rm1k including sunroof.
2. Use Trapo and Kamatto where Kamatto is much cheaper. No difference for both, it just a mat.
3. Online purchase and install diy. Cz got already the usb connection above

hi, read your comment in 2020 about using totalgard

how is the tinted? is it still same performance as when you bought it?

and do you mind share what product totalgard you use?
