Agreed, seems slightly overpriced. Premium price is a bit too close to flagship as well?Proton X50 2020 v1, B-Segment killer

QUOTE(limeuu @ Mar 30 2022, 08:59 AM) Any one got problems with the aircon? It's not as efficient as my other cars. Takes longer to cool down, and the thermostat setting appears inaccurate. I normally set the temperature (in the other cars) to 23°c but x50 feels very warm at that setting. And it only start feeling comfortable at 20 or lower setting. Same feeling, I set mine to 21C, 23 to 24 feels a bit too warm. Tinting helps a lot to cool down faster from my experience.Unfortunately, it also has a heater function (they didn't remove that from the China cars) and I wonder if that is affecting the cooling function. |

Does anyone else have a rougher transition from gear speed D3 to gear speed D4? It's more noticeable on mine, only from D3 to D4, other gear steps are smoother.

QUOTE(McFcker @ Mar 24 2023, 09:50 AM) Hye just a question, just got my car back from the SC due to battery issue last weekend. My neighbour had the same issue and it looks like only the newer batch of cars have this problem. Anyway, it did solve it for him.Car= 6 months old, 4k km. The SC just charge the battery and said this should solve any future issues, i asked them what is the reason for the battery drain they said couldn't find the source and usually just recharging fixed the issue for other users. I have another question though, does anyone know if we need to reset the ECU after changing the battery? My idle speed seems higher and slightly more vibration can be felt after I changed it a couple of days ago. |

Dashboard SVS light came up and loss of engine power after that. Restarted car and ok again. Sent to SC and they could only reset and report to HQ...anyone experienced it before?

QUOTE(McFcker @ Jan 22 2024, 09:38 AM) Just an update, went to SC reported the case, they tighten some parts on the car, it temporary solved the issue significantly lesser noise but it only last about a week the clunking is back. Do you get a kluk kluk kluk sound when going over rough roads and speed bumps as well? Example over the rocky untarred roads etc?Now seems like its worse every uneven road/bumps can hear it already. QUOTE(McFcker @ Jan 23 2024, 06:30 PM) yeap, uneven road or sometimes speed bump also have the kluk sound ,i mention that to the SC, sometimes 40-50kmh when i press the accel it will have clunking noise as well. I didn't have the sound when accelerating, only when going over speed bumps sometimes and mostly on rough roads. Anyway, one possibility is the driveshaft. Had mine changed and didn't notice any further sounds so far. |

QUOTE(McFcker @ Jan 24 2024, 02:12 PM) how do you describe the issue to the SC, i mentioned to them the sounds and they say only can tighten "some parts". Or do you ask them to check the driveshaft directly. Asked them to check the driveshaft directly. Would be better if you can test drive over some bumps or road and the sound appears. The tech said he needed to record it for proof of warranty claim. Also need to see how nice the SC is. My first SC was the same, just tighten some parts and ignored it. Started going to a different SC and the tech there was better for me personally. |

My car was parked and a neighbour banged into the side causing some bad scratches and some plastic damage. Is it better to go to a Proton body and paint / 4S center to get it fixed or any outside paint shop will do? Since it's just bodywork will it affect the warranty?

QUOTE(purplefellow @ Feb 6 2024, 10:59 AM) Best to go Proton SC to do full check and fix, because if anything malfunctions near that area in the future (internal sensors, etc), Proton can deny warranty for those parts if they detect unrecorded repairs/accident. Yeah, already got a quote for it. Basic repairs not too bad pricewise....but the headlight lamp has some minor scratches which will probably ignore for now. As long as it wasn't cracked basically. That piece is very expensive... |
